(Alright. Once again, sorry about all of the long pauses in between posts. ^^')
No sign of anyone yet. Elethia was standing outside the front door of the large mansion that she called home. Despite its size, the mansion only housed her, her mother and her father, along with a few servants. Though this was apparently common among noble houses.
She turned and walked back inside. A few moments later, she made her way to a nearby window. Elethia was never all that eager to have guests over, but there were a few exceptions. Namely, when those related to her parents and their adventures many years before were involved. Today Rimi, Aunt Nah and Uncle Inigo were visiting. They weren't really her aunt or uncle, but she liked referring to them as such. She was especially excited about Rimi coming so that she would have someone to talk to. There wasn't anyone else around her age in the mansion, so she was very excited.
(Does that work alright? It's been a long time since I soaped.) -
[That's fine, and you don't have to apologize.x3]
The carriage rounded the corner, causing Rimi to fidget nervously. She would of been much more comfortable if they had flown there, but Inigo had insisted travel by ground, and Nah had reluctantly agreed, saying it might scare the locals to see two dragons flying across the sky in these peaceful times.
Rimi thought that was ridiculous, but she knew part of the reason why her mom was so worried. Near where they lived, some people had started a rumor about an evil black dragon. Nah had tried to quail the rumors, but they reached Rimi's ears.
But today, Rimi would be spending time with Elethia and her parents. She was quite excited, but at the same time worried.
The carriage pulled up to the manor, jarring her out of her lament. -
(Yeah... it's a force of habit. XD)
Elethia's eyes were immediately drawn to the moving carriage once it entered her range of sight. It did strike her as a little bit odd that they wouldn't travel by sky, but the feeling of confusion was quickly overpowered by her feeling of excitement.
Turning, she shouted into the house, "they've arrived!" She wasn't quite sure where her parents were in the house, however she had a pretty good idea of where they might be. Therefore they had probably heard her.
She moved swiftly out the door and down the manor's stairs. Not sure if she should open the door to the carriage herself, she simply stood at the foot of the stairs, waving to those in the carriage. -
The carriage door opened, and Inigo stepped out first, then helped his wife and daughter out. Nah was still quite a bit shorter than Inigo, and shorter than her daughter, but she didn't seem to be phased by that, as she took the lead, grabbing Inigo's arm and pulling him with her toward the stairs, smiling.
Rimi followed behind more slowly, giggling at her parents. Even after all this time, Nah still seemed to think if she didn't keep an eye on Inigo he'd run off. -
Elethia jumped a bit when she heard her mother yell, "Nah! Inigo! Hi guys!" She turned around to see her parents standing near the entrance to greet their guests. Her mother was waving excitedly, and her father sighed and gently told her to calm down a little bit to no avail.
Smiling, Elethia turned back towards carriage. Her mother and father had good relationships with Aunt Nah and Uncle Inigo, so it was only natural for her mother to act so natural with them. It was a nice change from when people visited for political matters and such.
Noticing Rimi trailing behind her parents, Elethia grinned and waved happily, though not nearly as energetically as her mother. She didn't think that anyone could beat her mother in that regard. -
As Nah and Inigo went over to greet Brady and Cynthia, Rimi walked over to Elethia, smiling slightly.
Inigo laughed, greeting them. "Hey Cynthia, Brady. It's nice to see you guys again."
"I'm glad you two are doing so well, and your daughter, too." Nah added, nodding.
Rimi nodded to acknowledge everyone, not quite sure what to say, if she should even speak up. She glanced at Elethia, trying to think of something to say. -
(Oh my god, today I set my notification sound as Asch screaming "replicaaaa" and it just went off for the first time. I just died laughing.)
"Yes!" Cynthia chirped, smiling. "It's been too long! I've been busy though. A hero never sleeps after all! They must always be ready for the any challenge that awaits them!"
Brady chuckled. "If challenges meant a crap ton of work, then yeah." He turned to their guests. "It's been a while, huh? Nice to see you all doing well. Especially your little girl. And good to see that you're still alive, Inigo. Guess ya haven't done anything to become dragon chow yet." He added the last part as a joke about how he and Nah came to be a couple.
Elethia grin lingered as a smaller smile as she spoke to Rimi. "Hi, Rimi. It's nice to see you. How've you been?" She had noticed how hesitant Rimi was and she wanted to lighten the mood a bit. So she tried small talk.
(I probably so failed my impression of Brady and Cynthia. I feel so ashamed.) -
[omf that's great xDD]
Inigo laughed at Cynthia's enthusiasm. "Glad to see life nothing can ruin that attitude, Cynthia. I would've though life as a noble would of mellowed you out a bit." He joked.
Inigo paled a bit at the joke Brady made, even though he knew it to be a joke.
Nah giggled, covering her mouth. "He's come awfully close, though. How have you been, Brady?"
"I've been alright.. It's nice to see you too. You look really different from last time." She added, before realizing that might of sounded weird to say.
[Nah your impressions are great.xD] -
(Isn't it? XD It was 10pm when it happened too, so my mom was so confused as to why I randomly started laughing.)
Cynthia grinned. "A hero's spirit can't be stopped by the limits of being a noble. I go riding pretty often to avoid losing my touch. A hero's no good if she can't make a proper entrance after all." She said so triumphantly, as if she had won against the typical life of a noble.
"I remember the first time she did it. I'd thought she'd left me." Brady mumbled. Remembering the time made tears begin to form in his eyes.
"A-ah... I said I was sorry! Don't get upset again!" Cynthia said, in a bit of a panic.
Regaining his composure, Brady turned to Nah. "I've been as good as I can be. A lotta work's been comin' in lately. There's a lot goin' on in the land we control." He paused, "but you didn't come here to hear me talk about stuff like that. You'd hafta be tired after a trip like that. Come inside and sit. I'll go and get some tea. If I learned anything from my Ma, it's how to make tea."
Elethia giggled. "I think that my hair length is the most different. Well, other than my height. Maybe my face as well, but I couldn't tell that on my own." She paused, realizing that she was about to go off on a ramble. Only being able to easily talk to her parents at home was probably making her seem more sociable than she actually was. "You look quite different as well. In a good way!" She added the last part in case Rimi were to take it the wrong way.
(Thanks. XD Cynthia is pretty easy, but Brady is kind kg in the middle. And of course, because I'm me, I keep on making Brady talk longer. XD) -
(of*
Not kg. XD) -
[REEEEPLICCCCAAA is a classic]
Inigo smiled as he listened to Cynthia and Brady. It was good to hear that he wasn't alone in the over dramatic partner department. After they first had gotten married Nah hadn't let him out of the house without asking him a million questions.
"That'd be great, thank you." Nah chimed, happy to be among her friends again.
"I wish my hair grew out like that... I guess I did, huh? I got taller then my mom, which mad her kinda mad." Rimi laughed, remembering her mom's face when she first noticed.
[You are really good though.xD I'm not even sure I know what Inigo and Nah should even say half the time.] -
(Haha, yep.)
Cynthia moved and opened the door with as much dramatic flair as she could. "Right this way!"
Brady nodded in response to Nah. "What kinda host would I be if I didn't offer guests drinks? Or let 'em enter first?"
"Haha, well, having long hair can be a pain at times. It's been chomped on by Mom's pegasus countless times." She then laughed as she imagined Nah's face in the situation that Rimi had described. "That must've been amazing. Especially since your father is already so much taller than her. It must be strange to have you beat her height as well."
(You're doing a really good job as well though. X3 I'm never really sure either. XD) -
(Boo~ XP)
-
[ahhh I meant to respond, I swear xD]
Inigo laughed, taking Nah's hand gently, pulling her inside before she could do the same to him.
"You'd be my mother, Brady." Nah joked.
"Ahh, I guess that would be a pain." Rimi giggled, imaging the scene with the Pegasus. "Mom suspects it's because I'm only 1/3 Manakete, which is good for me, as I apparently won't be stuck a kid forever." -
(Go figure that after I bump the thread, I go and bake for an hour. Good job me. XD
And it's fine, don't worry about it. I have some pretty long breaks between posts, so it's only fair. XP)
Brady was thrown off guard by Nah's comment. "Well... Er... I said I learned from my Ma, not that I could be a Ma..." He wasn't exactly sure how to react to her comment.
Cynthia giggled. To her, it was obvious that it was a joke. However, she found how her husband reacted to be pretty funny.
"Haha, yep." Elethia smiled. Then she looked at Rimi with a curious look that would more likely be seen on a 6 year old than a 17 year old. "1/3 Manakete, huh? Though it's pretty funny that you'll look older before your mother does." She hesitated before continuing. "...Your mom was the first half-blooded Manakete, right?" She said it carefully, as she wasn't sure how Rimi would react to her asking this.
