Kairi slowly allowed her eyes to close. She'd no longer be hurt... She couldn't feel the pain of living any more.... She'd be free. "I-I'm..... s-sorry..." she said, barely even a whisper. 'Mom, I'm coming home.... I'll see you in heaven soon...' She coughed up a bit of blood and would have cringed at the taste if she could. She forced a smile and held her breath. It wasn't worth it. 'Is dying painful...? Will it be my last time of being hurt...?' She questioned, a bit worried as she never handled pain well

Takahiro sighed and sat odwn against a tree, he gave up looking for her. It was hopeless. Bloody hopeless. "Meh, I can't find her. I've looked up and down the whole entire forest, and can still not see a single trace of her." He whispered. Takahiro fiddled with a stray pine needle he had found on the ground. He broke it in half and put the two halves of it in his pocket. He imagined that one of the pine needle halves was him, and the other was the girl. He hoped that he would find her someday, even if she was laying dead in the woods. He sighed and turned to go back home and face his parents again. He ddecided that he would ignore them.
-
Kairi suddenly realized the she was scared. She was too young to die! She had a chance of life! She opened her eyes and happened to hear a voice and footsteps. Mustering all her energy, she spoke. "W-Wait...." She managed, her voice still hoarse. She silently prayed the person heard her and would go get help... if they asked what happened, she'd have to lie and said she did it all to herself. She did, after all. She brought all this pain on her own, but she wanted to get out of it. She didn't want to hurt... but she also didn't want to die...
-
Takahiro suddenly heard the same female voice he had heard earlier, ah he knew it! The girl was actually somewhere in the forest. But where? He didn't have a single clue, but he decided to just follow the sound of the voice, hearing when it gets closer and if it gets further away. Takahiro turned around and instead of heading towards the exit, he headed further into the woods. The sound gradually became closer, and closer until he was pretty sure that he was about to find the girl. Takahiro realized that he was at the clearing again, that he could see the girl, sitting on the same log she had been on earlier. This was his chance to save her from whatever danger feared to take her life. Takahiro slowly edged towards the girl, he made sure he wouldn't startle her.
-
Kairi felt tears roll down her cheeks. She no longer heard the footsteps... the person seemed to have left... she slowly let her eyes close. 'Mom.... Dad... Even Takahiro-sama.... I'm sorry.... I failed you...' She thought as her breathing started to fail her. She couldn't seem to get any air.... She was right... it did hurt... not physically, but emotionally. Thinking of all the people she was leaving behind hurt worse than any of the pain she had endured. But why? It's not like her father or Takahiro would miss her. They'd probably already forgotten her. Little did she know, the person had never left, and there was still hope.
-
Takahiro gasped. He didn't mean to upset like that, he was still mad at himself about earlier. He sighed and pushed the thought to the back of his mind. He didn't need to worry about that right now, when there were things more important, like the girl who was dying in front of him. He bent down and stroked her soft hair. Takahiro felt a tear roll down his cheek, how could he have been so selfish as to run away from her earlier? He basically just abandoned her in the middle of the forest. He shook his head, no need to think about that right now.
-
Kairi felt a hand on her head and strained to open an eye, extremely weak. "Hisakawa-sama...?" She whispered, not believing her eyes. They say people hallucinate when on the brink of death.... it appears true... but the hallucination felt so.... real. Besides, why would Takahiro be in the forest to help her? He actually had a life and, from what she heard, caring parents. Granted, he was a bit strange to her, but he seemed.... normal.... something she could only wish to be.
-
Takahiro nodded. "Yes it is me, and I am sorry about earlier." He whispered to the girl. He helped the girl up and lead her over to the log, where he sat her down. "Everything's going to be okay." He reassured her, not sure whether he was right or wrong, but it didn't matter.

Gtg)
I'll be back in about half an hour or so.) -
Kairi whimpered in pain as she closed her eyes, the movement only making it harder to breathe. "Hisakawa-sama.... I don't want to die...." she whispered, her cuts now covered in dry blood and no longer bleeding. She was still lightheaded and weak, and hoped what he said was true, but knew that she had lost too much blood. There was no way she would survive.

Welcome back! ^~^ that was quite a long half hour! Just kidding.)

Sorry)
Takahiro sighed, "you won't die, I'm sure of it." He reasurred her, to be honest, he didn't want the girl to die because right now, she was the only person who mattered to him. His parents were being useless and he didn't have really many friends to talk with. -
Kairi took deep breaths, trying to calm herself. The last thing she needed to do now was panic. "H-Hisakawa-sama.... Please get help..." She murmured through her breathing. If she was going to pull through, she'd need some form of assistance. She couldn't do it alone. To be truthful, she was terrified.
