They are an unlikely pair: c1 is "small and quick and dark of face"; c2, a man of tremendous size, has the mind of a young child. Yet they have formed a "family" clinging together in the face of loneliness and alienation.
Laborer a in California's dusty vegtable fields, they hustle work when they can, living a hand-to-mouth existence. For c1 and c2 have a plan: to own an acre of land and a shack they can call their own. When they land jobs on a ranch in the salinas valley, the fulfillment of their dream seems to be within their grasp. But even c1 cannot guard c2 from the provocations of a flirtatious woman, nor predict the cosequences of c2's unswerving obedience to the things c1 taught him. -

Why does nobody want to join

Because this is a terrible idea when you look at the title. Of mice and men? Isnt that a band? What does this have to do with them? And besides, even if this was based on them, it'd be a bad idea due to the fact that its about a band, whcih never ends up mixing well with role plays or soaps.
Well, besides all of that, you arent very good at role playing or soaping. -
