Rachelle nodded. "Yes, I'm alright." She sighed, touching her stinging cheeks. She had managed to get her father to allow both servants and commoners to come to the ball, which was her goal.
-
"Oh my god..." Killian pouted a bit, "Are you sure, does it hurt badly? Do you want some ice or something?"
-
Rachelle flashed her sweetest smile. "No, no. It doesn't hurt." She lied, dropping her hand back to her side.
-
Killian looked at her, studying her for a moment. He sighed and kissed her forehead lightly, "If you say so. " he said then backed away from her, "So what did you go ask him?" He asked, "If you don't mind me asking." He quickly added.
-
Rachelle blushed lightly. "I simply asked that peasants and servants be allowed to attend the ball." She smiled kindly.
-
Killian tilted his head slightly, "Why?" He asked simply.
-
Rachelle became bright red. "Well... uh... I just think they're better than the nobles..." She looked away.
-
"Really?" Killian asked.
-
Rachelle scoffed. "To put it lightly, multiply myself by ten. They're snobs. Not that I'm not, but...." She sighed, beginning to kick herself.
-
Killian chuckled, "I see." He said quietly.
-
"Honestly, I'm hoping to find someone responsible and worthy of being king. Someone like you." Rachelle smiled awkwardly, her cheeks bright red.
-
Killian chuckled, "I'm the farthest thing from being a king, I got arrested this morning and beaten up by castle soldiers. And besides, you wouldn't want to be married to someone like me, but I hope your happy." He said with a smile.
-
Rachelle sighed and rolled her eyes. "I meant someone selfless and responsible, Killian." She ran a hand through her hair.
-
Killian raised an eyebrow, "Mmhmmm." He said chuckling .
-
Rachelle chuckled softly and crossed her arms. "Oh, excuse my impudence. Are you hungry?"
