Asher knocked on the king's door. Well, Leader. Everyone pretty much called the leader Lord or King. Asher could feel eye's piercing his back. People didn't know what it was like to be strong and fierce. Asher heard a soft "Come in." And he pulled the doorknob open. The room was dark, which was how Paolini liked it. Asher's footsteps were quiet. "Asher, I told Tally to get you. Look's like she did her job. I might praise her." Paolini cracked in laughter. Everyone knew Paolini never praise anything. Paolini wasn't exactly the most amazing leader. He was cruel. "Why am I needed?" Asher's mouth slipped into the slightest smirk. "Oh, Asher. You're always so cheerful to do things. I just wanted to make sure you knew, we count on you and some of the other high vampires. So, I'm not telling you to fight but if s--- hit's the fan. You better be there to protect it." Paolini stated, roughly. "Yes, Sir." Asher replied, ignoring Paolini. Asher wasn't scared of the leader. Asher walked and grabbed the doorknob. In a second, like lighting speed, Paolini's hand was gripped to the clothing on Asher's shoulder. "Ah. One more thing, Asher dear, You're not wearing a mask. I like the cloak but we all must wear a mask." Paolini grabbed Asher's hand, slipping a white mask. The mask wouldn't cover Asher's whole face. Only his eye's. Asher slipped in on and Paolini released him. "Thank you, Sir." Asher slipped out of the room, even more in a bitter mood.

Samuel's beanie along with his mask dangled in his hand at his side as he read through his chapter of manga. He saw Killian passing by from around his phone, he's hair was ruffled a bit Samuel looked up, he wasn't sure what he was going to say but it didn't really matter since by the time he looked up Killian was gone. He huffed quietly and leaned against the wall again, 'There goes my last chance to beg my way out of this.' He thought to him self and continued reading. Killian has always been kind to Samuel which, one: Made him uncomfortable and two: Was really odd. He found it odd that Killian was nice to him because of the way they met and the things that happened on the night that they met because if he remembered correctly the night they met started with Samuel stealing over three hundred dollars in cash from Killian's pocket.

Asher wasn't exactly pleased to be going to this whole ball. He rather be hunting for human flesh. Asher licked his fangs and noticed Tally walking down the hall. He made his way to her and studied her appearance. "Where are you running off to?" Asher asked her and crossed his arms. "What do you mean? We are supposed to be leaving for the ball. Paolini told everyone to head on our way at 8. It's 8:05. Not everyone Worship's Paolini ass, like you Asher." Tally snorted and headed downstairs, only to be followed by Asher. "I don't worship anyone." Asher huffed at Tally. Tally was a good friend and all. However, she was bipolar and rude at times. Asher always had to ignore this harsh part of her. It was mean if he didn't because she ignore the harsh side of him. Everyone in their Coven was a little mean. It was natural. The king taught everyone to not trust anyone and to stay away from people.

Samuel chuckled quietly thinking of the night he met Killian, even to this day it was probably the third worst night of his life. He glanced up and saw that people were starting to arrive he pushed himself off the wall not wanting to be around right now. He walked around still starring at his phone when the screen went black and the word Ivy popped up on his screen with and answer or ignore buttons staring right at him. His thumb hovered over the answer button but then hit then ignore and put his phone in his jacket pocket and put his hands in his pockets. His phone started going off again he pulled it out and ignored the second call from Ivy, he didn't even have time to put it in his pocket before it went off again. He was shoved a few timed by people from his cove he closed his eyes to refrain himself from saying something that would get the crap beaten out of him. He answered the phone, "What." He snapped into the phone and walked away from the large groups forming. "What a terrible welcoming committee you are, I spent five years over seas and this is what I get when I come home?" The voice on the phone was filled with laughter, "Ivy I'm not your friend I don't think I should have to welcome you back, call someone who cares." Samuel said obviously annoyed,"Now, now you're not really anyone's friend, now are you? But still we try." Samuel silently let her go on, "Now are you even listening to me?" Ivy asked upset, "No." He said bluntly boredom clear in his voice. Ivy huffed and he sighed, "Look, Ivy I don't care that your back or whatever plan you have, I don't care that you're probably on every continents most wanted list now. I'm not in the mood for you to be around not now, not ever." Ivy laughed, "Someone forcing you to do something again?" Her words flipped a switch somewhere, "Good bye Ivy." He said and hung up, "Stupid little-." He muttered then took a deep breath and closed his eyes and leaned against the railing of the stairs.

Asher followed the group and Tally. He wasn't ready to go to some ball with creepy other vampires. Asher hated looking low and not going, made you definitely look low. "Tally, is our group speaking?" Asher asked, a little annoyed. God, he hated listening to Paolini preach about killing more humans and staying united. Blah. Blah. Blah. Whatever. Asher hated Paolini. Asher never wanted this. He wanted to be a normal guy, with a job, not a guy with human flesh in his teeth. "No, Of course not. Are you stupid?" Tally hissed at Asher. "You never pay enough attention, do you? I thought Mister High And Mighty, would know all the trendy information. Sigh, your no help, Asher." Tally giggled and shuffled along through the crowds. Asher followed. "Shut up. I'm about as high as you. You make me sound like a low pet." Asher stated stubbornly at her. He was getting more annoyed. "Hmm. Well, Let's see! You take orders from the master. You get attention and treats from him. You get praised and washed by his soldiers. You sound like a pet to me." Tally giggled at Asher. "I am not a pet! What's wrong with getting praised and treated right?" Asher pushed people out of his way, keeping up with Tally's fast steps. "It's just, you act like you adore Paolini. However, before you didn't," Tally leaned over, her glossy lips in his ear. "Don't act like you don't remember Me watching your body spasm and your eye's shrink. I watched you die underneath our King. Your last word's were 'I'll never forgive you.' To Paolini." She whispered in his ear and flooded through the crowd. Asher looked dumbfounded. What did she mean by that? Was she trying to make Asher seem like he lied about his word's?

Samuel leaned against the railing of the stairs eyes closed, he wondered why she would call him out off all people, they were never friends because he made an extra effort not to have any. Not to mention that it was her fault he was even in this coven in the first place and he hadn't talked to her since, although she was just a human and probably thought he was still angry for her holding him at gunpoint and forcing him to help with the job not pulling him into a party with a bunch of high class vampires to steal something out of the building they were in. Ivy holding him at gunpoint was really nothing new but it wasn't really the reason he never liked her, which would probably be a shock to someone, if that person had never met Harley, Harley is a close friend of Ivy whom of which had beaten Samuel up many times, when he was human and even when he was a vampire. She is freakishly strong for such a small girl and has quite the violent streaks and if the definition of sadistic. Sam shivered at just the thought of the two of them on the same continent again, he felt like sending a message to every museum, bank and rich person in the country telling them to boost up their security but didn't want to and decided it be too much work. He pushed himself off the railing and started over to the room.

Asher arrived at the ball with 3/4 of his Coven. Everyone else in his Coven were still arriving. He observed the place, noting each face. This wasn't the first time he had been here or had seen all the other Coven's. He tried to keep the most speechless, alert, stiff, stubborn, and anxious look he could. Paolini wouldn't want them having actual fun. He would want them seeming mature. Asher hated these thing's. He hadn't going to them. These event's always went to hell. A couple years back, he got into a fight with one of the vampires. Nothing bad but it was embarrassing. Asher guessed by the way his fighting skills were, Paolini sure loved it. Asher wondered around, adjusting to the place this year. It doesn't really change decor.

Samuel felt a shiver up his spine as people came into the building he glanced back at the people coming in and tugged on his beanie, tugging it over his mask a bit. He sighed and looked back straight forwards and pulled out his phone he sighed and stiffened up a bit as he walked into the room. He immediately ducked close beside the door and mainly hid behind his beanie but slightly behind his mask, he turned the brightness down fully on his phone. He started up the app again and started to read again, he didn't like the idea of this to him it actually seemed stupid, it didn't make since. If they wanted to meet up with the leaders or something why couldn't they do it in their own time and not involve the rest of them or at least him.

Asher's eye's pierced at the boy next to the door when he walked in. This place didn't feel like home and making friend's would be hard. Asher was going to try to put a effort into socializing but he just bit his lip and awkwardly kept walking. He could see Paolini giving him a smirk, as Paolini walked over. "Did I actually see Asher try to start a conversation? Do my eye's deceive me?" Paolini joked and snorted. "Shut up. My private life isn't any of your business, Idiot." Asher replied, trying to be stubborn and sound annoyed. Paolini touched Asher's collar and slightly pulled his collar down to see the bare skin of his collarbone. "Actually, Dear Asher, I do run your life. I made your life." Paolini pointed to the scar of a bite. Asher huffed, jerked away, fixed his collar to his shirt, and walked a few feet away.

Samuel shivered as he felt someone stare at him he looked over and then back at his phone, he glanced back up at the two men he rolled his eyes and looked back at his phone. He felt someone beside him, "Checking someone out today are we?" The boy asked leaning against the wall beside him with his elbow resting against the wall. "Well its not like it matters anyways~ Hmmm I think its the room full of dead flesh but you smell better than usual tonight ~." Samuel looked over at him unamused , "Please stop, theirs a lot of other people here tonight and I don't want anyone bugging me." He said looking over at the blonde then sighed and looked back at his phone. He barley saw it and barley had time to move his neck, the boys teeth skinned his neck he started to chuckle, "Fine, but don't get any smartass ideas, I don't care what Killian said, I'll beat the crap out of you here and now ." He was shoved harshly which made him loose balance and he fell Sam sighed and tugged in his hat before he stood up and leaned against the wall.
-
Asher heard the sound and turned. His red eye's widened and he debated whether or not to go see the probably. Paolini wouldn't jump his ass, would he? Asher didn't care either way. He was pretty much second in command. He strolled with alertness and confident. "So, who's being a--hole to who?" Asher snorted at the two guy's. Asher didn't know the problem, So he couldn't just start yelling at the guy who pushed the other guy. Asher crossed his arms and let his cloak hang behind him. He wasn't looking for a fight but nobody wanted to come to these things and nobody deserved to be a major jerk to anyone. Plus, this was his kind of duty.
-
Samuel didn't even bother looking up at the man, "No ones being anything, I fell off balance." He said starting to go through his phone be find an app. "Exactly as he said, sir. We were just discussing a snack for tomorrow." The boy said in a way that caused Sam to shiver, he heard the boy lick his lips. Sam sunk into the wall more and tugged on his beanie again, he realy just wanted to go up stairs, "Sorry to inconvenience you." The blonde said happily and then started to walk away, "Oh please enjoy your night!" He said and continued to leave . "Yeah, I'm sorry we inconvenienced you." He said and tugged at his beanie again.

Asher got his answer, feeling stupid about asking. "Ah, I see. I was just checking." He felt frustrated for sounding dumb. Asher regretted even asking. This made him more annoyed. "It sure looked like you 'lost balance'. I'll be sure to say 'You lost balance' when my people ask, why I was socializing." Asher spun on his heel. He didn't know what made him angrier. Him seeming stupid or the two guy's not having a problem. Asher slipped away and rubbed his own sweaty palm. "This is why I don't socialize." He mumbled to himself. The whole situation felt extremely awkward. Asher needed to calm it down. Paolini said to not get noticed and Asher was getting noticed.
