Skykit shivered. "I'm scared" she said.

"don't worry, little one," she whispered as she groomed her kit.

Skykit curled up more. She was worried they would find her.

"I will kill them if they lay one paw step in here," she promised as she curled around her kit more.

Sky kit heard paws on the ground in the distance. She slowed her breathing to quiet down more.

Blossomflower felt claws rake her back. She screamed out, twisted, and raked the cat's chest. She got up and started to push Skykit back. There was onl one cat.

Skykit ran over to her mother and hid under her stomach.

The cat was Sorreleye. The cat swiped for Skykit but missed. Blossomflower pinned the cat down and raked her belly.

Skykit reached out from under her mother's belly and scratches the cat's paw.

Blossomflower flicked her tail around her kit. She held Sorreleye down for Skykit to come and scratch her cheek. "You will die from a kit," Blossomflower hissed to the dishonorible cat.

Skykit poked her head out and then came out all the way. She walked over to the cat and scratched it's cheek.

Blossomflower bit Sorreleye's neck, killing her. Blossomflower then carried Skykit to the medicine den and curled around her, deep inside the den.

"Are there anymore?" Skykit asked her mother

Blossomflower shook her head. "They're gone...she just stayed behind."

Skykit stood up."what are we going to do now" she asked, not noticing she was able to stand.
