Good. Cool.)
Morgan nodded her head to the Alex. "Same to you." she said back to her before she went back to her original position, sliding down and resting her head on the armrest of the chair, bending at her knees slightly as she for comfortable in it laying there. She listened to the footsteps of her going up the stairs. Morgan stared back to the TV screen again. "So she's the one who is staying here now." she whispered to herself as she reached over and turned the TV on to see what was on at the time. "Guess it could have been someone worse." she said silently as she flipped through the channels. -
Alex sat on the bed and breathed in the air. It smelled so wonderful, like flowers. "I wonder if they will let me decorate?" she thought, as she envisioned the room with posters and pictures. It was something, like out of a dream for Alex. It was different. Her old room and faux wooden walls and brown carpet. The thoughts of her past made her shiver. She didn't want to think about it, so she pulled the iPod that she had out of her bag, and flipped it to Warzone by Framing Hanley. The iPod was the only thing that had survived the 'accident' that her family was in. Alex sighed as a tear fell down her face and she quickly wiped it away.
-
Morgan sighed lightly and shook her head, "Nothing is on." she muttered to herself as she hit the off button on the remote and put it back on the table across from her. She slowly sat back up in the chair and stretched her arms a bit before standing with a yawn. She walked around the couch and looked into the kitchen, seeing her mom there cooking something. Shrugging her shoulders as she walked on by the door and to the stairs trying to wake herself up with a bit of walking.
-
Alex tapped her foot to the beat of the music, but shook her head. She had to change the song before she had a break down. Alex quickly looked at her Playlist and chose So What by Pink. She smiled, because this was the way she felt at the moment. Even though she was supposed to be grateful she didn't feel like it. She saw the way Morgan acted toward her. Like she didn't care. Morgan reminded her of one of the 'way to preppy' girls that was at school, but she did seem down to earth. "Maybe I should go and talk to her." Alex said, a little to loud. "Oh god, I hope she didn't hear that." she thought to herself.
-
Morgan made her way up to the top of the stairs, blinking a few timesas she shook her head. She could hear Alex in her room saying something and listening to music but just carried on her way towards the sink in the bathroom nearby. "Some water May help me wake up." she said to herself as she walked in and turned on the cold water. Reaching in as she caught some in her hands and wet her face, turning it off afterwards and grabbing a towel to wipe it off. She stood there, smiling a bit to herself as she looked down the hallway as she started out to go across to the otherside to where her room was at.
-
"Whew, that was a close one." Alex said, with a sigh of relief. Alex smiled as she took the earbuds out of her ears and rolled them up, sticking them in her pocket. Alex stretched and took the suitcase off of her bed, and she looked around once more. She still had that faint since of awe, and she looked near the dresser. "I guess I can put up the clothes now." she said, carrying her nearly empty suitcase. Alex looked at the closet and pulled out a clothes hanger and hung up the clothes that she had. It wasn't that many. Just a shirt, a pair of pants and one ragged dress. That didn't include the clothes she had on now.
When Alex finished, she realized the time and rubbed her eyes. "It can't be that time already." she whined, and she looked outside of her room and down the hallway. She smelled the food cooking in the kitchen and she heard the two adults talking in the hall. Alex heard her name once and flinched. They could be talking about taking her back to the orphanage, but that was one place that she didn't want to go back to. -
Once Morgan had got to her room she kept the door open behind her, and walked up to her bed and sat down on top of the white sheets on them. She slid back to where her pillow was at and reaches over beside her to a table where she had a radio at. Turning it on as she for comfortable in her position and stared out the window smiling as she listened to the current song of Amaryllis by Shinedown. She hummed along to the song at quietly sung some of the lyrics as she sat there. Back against her pillow comfortably, listening to her radio play along.
-
Alex sighed and walked back into the bedroom and sniffled. "Please don't let them take me back." she cried, as she picked up a pillow and hugged it for dear life. This was one thing that she didn't want to happen. Alex smiled as she thought of an idea, and picked up the journal that her parents had given to her. Each day, she would write them a letter, like they were here. Alex looked at the journal as a tear fell down her face, as she picked up a pencil and began to write.
Dear Mom and Dad,
You have no idea how much I miss you and sissy. I like the new place that I'm in, but it's nothing the like the comfortable home that we used to live in. It may be bigger and prettier, but it doesn't have that homey feel to it. If you were here, you both would say that this was the house of your dreams. I miss hearing your voices and I miss sissy's voice most of all as she would giggle as you tucked her into bed at night. I wish things were still the same. I wish...the accident didn't happen. Without either of you here, I have no guidance, and I won't ask my new 'family'. I won't because none of them are my real family. I'll let them think that, but it will never be true.
Love,
Alex
Alex smiled as she sat the journal down on her bed and smiled. It was nice to have all of those feeling poured out somewhere else. Somewhere different. -
Morgan looked out the window for a while before she slowly stood up off of her bed and walked over to it. "The sun is up still. I smell mom cooking downstairs from here. I wonder what we are having?" she said looking down to the cars and trucks passing by down on the streets below her. She stood there for a few moments in silence except for her radio from behind her playing her music. She sighed lightly and shook her head. "I'm bored again." she said to herself. She turned from the window and went over to cut her radio off thinking about what she should or could do and still stay in because it seemed as if the food would soon be ready. "Maybe I could go see Alex down the hall." she said to herself nodding afterwards as she started towards her room to see if they could speak or something possibly to try to take her out of her boredom.
-
-
Alex hid her journal and then stood up. She heard someone coming down the hall. It was more than likely Morgan. Alex put a smile on her face and wiped the few remaining tears from her face. "Everything will be okay." she said, as she sighed with relief. Alex walked to her bedroom door and opened it, and peeked outside. She smiled as she saw Morgan. "O-oh, hello." she said.
-
Morgan smiled a bit and made a slight wave towards Alex. "Hello." she replied back to the girl as she had stopped at the door, looking to her at the other side of it. "Mind if I were to come in? Looking for something to do so I thought I might come talk to you if that's alright." she said after a bit. She stood there waiting to see if she could or anything, letting her eyes wander around the ceiling now.
-
Alex nodded, as her hands slightly shook. "S-sure, come in." she said, opening the door a little wider than it had been before. She felt nervous about being here, but she had to get used to something. "So, how are you?" she asked, trying to start off a simple conversation.
-
Morgan smiled a bit more and slightly nodded her head to her. She stood still for a few moments, before walking on into the room and looking around before turning around to look at Alex when she spoke. "I'm fine, just bored." she responded to the question asked to her. "You?" she asked after a few moments.
