C1 is a member of an organization called the Damask Circle, the circle is made up of supernatural beings and they protect normal people and other supernatural from evil. C1 is in a small town working a huge scale kidnapping case that's been going on for a while. And has tracked the think to the town, but when he gets to town he finds out that already two little girls have gone missing and he goes to the scene. (Since he's suppose to be working with the police anyways.)
C2 is a young mother of two young girls with no one else to fall back on, late one night she hears a noise from inside the house and goes to check on the girls but when she gets up there she is met with someone she's never seen before and her two girl are taken. After a call to her boss and a change of her story cops show up and through this case on top of the pile of children that are missing. Desperate to find her kids she try's to convince her boss to let her on the case but is flat out denied. And that's when C1 shows up, C2 in a way feels in a small way that C1 is supernatural as she is herself, she doesn't directly talk to C1 but instead follows him back to where he's staying and begs him to let her help him with what he's working on the case. Begrudgingly he lets her help find her girls. -
