" why would I not..." He said pulling on the neck collar a bit, while a smirk across his face. Then his face turned into a frown," what kind music is this?" He asked glaring at the band.

"It's the royal orchestra. My father has them play at every ball. I honestly think they're a bit dull, but what do I know?" Raven shrugged.

" what do you know? You know know something that I'm sure half these people agree with!" He said with a smile showing his fangs.

Raven giggled softly, her cheeks becoming pink. "What makes you so sure? A lot of these people are old geezers..... Maybe even suitors...." She shuddered and gagged.

" oh well then this place is lame..." He said floating with his legs crossed in the air. He put his elbow on his lap and fist in his cheek slouched down. A party guest went up to Mathew and touched his base. Mathew sat strait up and turned around hissing at him and the man backed away slowly.

Raven couldn't help but laugh as she lightly nudged him. "If it's so lame, why don't you play something to spice it up? I'm sure you can make things interesting in here." She smiled sweetly, though she really just wanted to hear him play.

Mathew turned pink in the face," maybe I will just...give me a minute..." He walked past the crowd and then after the song was done he walked on the stage. The people of the party stared at him confused.

Raven smiled and leaned back against the wall, her arms crossed before clearing her throat. "Everyone, this is a friend of mine, so won't you all be kind and give him a chance?" She asked cutely, tilting her head and giving herself a childlike innocence that always worked on anyone who seen it.

He said pulling the microphone to his mouth he then grabbed his bass then strummed it slowly," sitting by the fire light while no one was home, your sitting there by your self alone. if only company would come, but still there was none... Now every night, I'll hold you tight, when ever you are scared,I will always be there..when the sun goes down and the stars are here...your love will always be near! Walking down to the park in the dark, sitting there while I stand here. And everyone knows that it's clear for me...and you...To be! Raven smiled, her eyes sparkling as she and nearly everyone else clapped and cheered.

Mathew bowed then walked off the stage and headed to Raven," told you they would like that kind of music better," he said before putting his bass back on his back," Man I just made those words up and that's not even the end of it I'm gonna have to write that down!"

Raven giggled. "It sounded like you had someone in mind when you made it up." She observed with a sweet grin. "Either way, it was beautiful, Matthew."

Mathew's face flushed in a suprised look," well...thanks," he said rubbing his head," my music does come from the heart but....I..i um..was just singing for the fun and tune of it!" He spoke trying to make an excuse of the song with he clearly made up showing that he really does love her.

Raven rolled her eyes. "There's no need to lie. It's obvious it was for someone special to you. Need I cast the truth spell?" She teased, nudging him with her shoulder. She was obviously joking, but was slightly worried he'd take her seriously.

" you don't know those spells!" Mathew said," besides you don't even understand what is going on in my head right now! So what are you going to do if I don't tell you what I am thinking?" He said flying up wards looking like he was laying on his stomach in mid air.
