Naomi pressed her back against the wall as she stared up to the darkening sky and the sunset above. She listened to the sound of cars passing by on the road and people speaking to each other now and again as she relaxed, and slightly shut her eyes closed. It was peaceful at the time, like many other times and she liked it like that, it helped her keep comfortable a bit and her mind off of some things.
-
At the end of the way, there was a fence. Chris stopped before it, wondering if it would be fine to cross. He shrugged, and climbed over it, making quite the noise doing so. He slipped and fell to the ground on his way down, but he quickly jumped back up. As Chris stood back up, he noticed someone sitting on the ground and propped against the wall.
(Ignore that last sentence if you don't want them to meet yet)) -
Naomi could hear a faint 'thud' of something hitting the ground but chose to ignore it, thinking it was just something falling out of the dumpster nearby. She adjusted herself into a position that was more comfortable for her to be in, so she laid down on her back and stared up to the dark orange sky above. She let out a slight cough and shook her head a bit before closing her eyes.
-
Chris stared at the girl briefly before walking up to her. "Er, are you okay, miss?" He asked quickly, tilting his head slightly. Chris stood a few feet away from the other person, giving her space. Chris was putting more of his weight on his left foot than the right, as his right leg was feeling sore for a reason beyond him.
-
Naomi peeked open her eyes to see the outline of a man in the darkness stainding a few feet away from her. "D-don't hurt me, mister." she said quietly staring up to the man. "I don't have anything for you, d- don't hurt me." she repeated again to him as she closed her eyes again shut and coughed again, a bit badly as she tried to wait till he left.
-
Chris didn't know how to respond to that response. "H-Hey! I'm not here to hurt you.. I was just..." He didn't know what he was doing. "Er.. Do you need anything?" He then asked, when nothing else came to mind.
-
Naomi slowly opened her eyes as she heard him speak. For some reason, she believed he wouldn't hurt her so she took a deep breath in to try to calm down a bit and stared at him. She was still scared, but not as much but still was. "D-do I need...anything? Do I?" she asked herself quietly. She shook her head no to be careful.
-
Chris sighed, fully aware that the girl did need help. Feeling more confident, he said, "Look, my er, house isn't that far away. If you want a place to sleep or anything, you can come follow me," he offered with a half shrug. Chris didn't think of what the other residents of the estate would think, let alone his father; He just knew that this girl was in a bad spot, and he could help her.
-
Naomi was unsure of what she should do, of what would be best. She took a deep breath in and slowly nodded her head. It would provide some shelter for her and help her a bit, if needed she could try to run away of she didn't like it. "O-okay, Sir." She said quietly as she stood up but stumbled a bit from some pain in her leg.
-
"Oh crap! Are you okay?" Chris jumped, startled. He knew it was kinda redundant to ask; Of course she wasn't fine! He mentally berated himself for asking such a stupid question.
(Sorry for the lack of activity >,>)) -
It's alright.)
Naomi regained her balance as she pushed her hand against a post to her side. "J-just some leg pain." she replied to him quietly. She put some pressure on her leg and slowly took a step forward towards the man there. -
".. Er, we can get you someone to look at that... Probably..." Chris muttered the last word under his breath. "Anyways," he said, clapping his hands together, "Let's get a move on. The day's not getting any brighter, ya'know?"
-
"O-okay. " Naomi said quietly as she moved slowly towards the man, limping a bit on her leg as she went over. She slowly nodded her head to him and took a deep breath in. "Is it ....a long way to go?" she asked slowly to him. She didn't want to be on her leg for too long for the risk of hurting it badly.
-
"Er.. I'm pretty sure the house is only a couple blocks away. You can handle it?" Chris asked, before turning, going to walk. "Can't be that far." He started at a slow walk, waiting for the girl to follow.
-
Naomi slowly nodded her head a yes as she started to slowly and carefully follow the man. "I can make it that far ...maybe." she said doing her best to put as little pressure on her hurt leg as possible as she went on behind him.
