Drake picked up the scent and accelerated. He spoke into his comm. "Arrowhead formation, I want a sniper to take out the legs." The resosponse came and he saw the flickering form of the monster. "s---, hold back, hold back it's a demon! I'll take him myself." he shouted. He took the wheel with two hands, and his car exploded.

Skotadi heard an explosion and his head snapped around. He growled at the humans and then he bolted, jumpIng up a fire escape and on to a rooftop

Drake was thrown from the car, and was separated from his team. He landed atop a building a hundred yards away with a sickening thud. He layed frozen in shock and pain as blood pooled around him.

Dorado heard a thud and then he turned, looking at the human that had landed by him. His ears went back and he whined before he changed to his human form. He crouched down and carefully picked him up, glancing around for vampires before he started running

Drake felt himself rise and almost float through the air. He could only see blotches and pain stabbed at every nerve in his body. He ran a quick self evaluation. All his ribs are cracked, bruised spine, broken legs and arms, probably broken feet and hands and fingers and toes, maybe internal bleeding and tendentious in his ear from the blast. He ran through what must have happened, it couldn't be magic, he didn't feel a shift in the balance, can't be a bullet, car is reinforced. The only thing that could pierce it is a vampiric shard, but there are only 3 in the universe and he was hunting a demon. Speaking of which, who was carrying him? A question for when consciousness returns he thought as his blotches became pure enveloping darkness and he fainted.

Skotadi jumped down off the roof tops and he slowed down, walking over to a small house. He pushed the door open and then set the human on the floor before he went to get his med kit. As a second thought, he grabbed a few healing potions as well and went back out to the living room. He sat by the human and began treating his injures
