Fandomfreak NewbieClaire blinked and fought back a blush, though the victory was not hers. She looked away to hide her reddening cheeks. "Why on earth would you be worried about me?" She muttered.

Hunter wanted to take back his words, but he couldn't. "B-because." he said, a slight blush forming over his cheeks.

Fandomfreak NewbieClaire sighed and walked by him, the flower falling from its snug hold. She had her hair over one shoulder, braiding it and leaving her bangs in her eye as she had done before, insecurity once again welcoming her.

Hunter followed behind Claire, but this time something...odd happened. He had this unusual feeling in his chest. It was like butterflies, but it hurt, bad. "What did I do?" he thought as he looked at Claire walk away, as he paused.

Fandomfreak NewbieClaire sat where she had slept and sighed, staring at her wrist and cringing as she watched her bones pop. She felt tears prick her eyes. She could never be normal. Have a normal life, a good job, a big house, a handsome husband, and a sweet child, none of that could ever be hers.

Hunter sat down in the grass and thought of Claire. He realized, he could never have her. No matter how hard he tried. Hunter fell back so he could look at the cloudless sky. "Why can't I have a life, like the sky? Without flaws?" he asked, out loud.

Fandomfreak NewbieClaire picked a flower by the porch before looking at the sky. "But sometimes, having very little or no flaws can be our own undoing." She thought aloud whilst plucking the petals and murmuring, "he loves me, he loves me not," like a six year old girl. She often acted younger than her age, as she lacked a fair childhood.

Hunter sighed and closed his eyes, as his heart fluttered in his chest. He thought he had lost all emotion, but some emotions were returning. Slowly, but surely. Hunter smiled as figures danced in front of his closed eyes, then Claire appeared, in his day-dream.

Fandomfreak NewbieClaire soon ran out of petals and breathed out her result. "He loves me..." She held the final petal to her heart. 'If only...' She thought as tears rolled down her cheeks. She pulled her knees to her chest, forgetting about being lady like as her pink rabbit print panties showed.

Hunter jolted up in a deep sweat. He had the nightmare again and shivered. He had to get away, somehow. He walked to the mansion to find Claire sobbing. "What is it Claire?" he said, trying to sound curtious.

Fandomfreak NewbieClaire jumped and looked up wide eyed before wiping her eyes. "Nothing." She stood carefully and slipped the steps to wander around the woods. She needed to calm herself. Alice would be disappointed.

Hunter watched her leave and didn't understand. What was he doing wrong? "Why?" he asked, looking up at the sky. "Why, me?" Hunter ran up to his room and lay on the bed, that they had given him. At least this was better than anything.

Fandomfreak NewbieClaire couldn't help but hit her knees as she became hidden by the brush. She sobbed into her hands. Why wasn't she lovable?! Why?! "WHY?! WHY THE HELL AM I EVEN ALIVE?!" She choked out.

Hunter grabbed the pillow that his head was on and curled up against it. The pillow was his safe haven, for now. He put his face to the pillow and cried, but people like him weren't supposed to cry, they were supposed to be strong.

Life is like a flower, you only have a little bit of time to cherish it before it wilts, no matter how hard you try to keep it alive. She began running toward the mansion, losing her shoes in the process
