The only child of one of their small English town's richest families, C1, is an avid reader, and best friends with C2, the man who owns the used bookstore on the corner. Anytime something comes through that might spark C1's interest, C2 sets it aside, and normally gives C1 a discount on it. (Frequent buyer, clearly..)
One day, C2 lays a thick, dusty book in C1's hands. It's clearly old, and has been roughly used, but C1 reads a few pages and decides to take it home.
C1 dives into the book that night, and halfway through, discovers two pages sealed together, thick in the middle. Intrigued, but not want to mess the book up, takes it to C2 in the morning. Together, the two carefully peel the pages apart to find an envelope. Inside the envelope is a love letter. It isn't actually very old at all, the date telling them that it was written only two years ago. Clearly, the letter never got to the person it was supposed to get to- And, just like that, C1 and C2 set out on a mission to give the letter to it's rightful owner.
Optional:
-C1 and C2 travel together until C1's money runs out in a small European town. C1's bank account wont be restored until the next month, so they decide to backpack for a bit, until they can afford a better method of travel. They agree that if they can't find the person the letter was meant for before the month is up, they'll go home.
With the last bit of C1's money, they hire a guide, who is only a bit older than themselves. Little do they know, the letter was written by their guide.
-C1 and C2 locate the person the letter was meant for easily enough, but learn from them that the letter's writer went missing a long time ago. After C3 reads the letter that was meant for them, they beg C1 and C2 to assist them in finding their lost lover. C1 and C2 agree.
-Insert other possibility.
