Duncan's boots slapped on the cobblestone road. He ran to the gate and it swung open. He sprinted through into the throne room. It was a large room, with a gold and velvet chair on the far wall and white marble columns on the sides. And it was vacant. He turned and ran to his fathers room and saw him in formal clothes , gathering his things. "Father, I have important news!" He bursted. "And it will wait." Kind Drake said. "I must leave to go to a peace banquet because of you." King Drake pushed by Duncan and walked away while Duncan stood confused.

"Maybe we should just go Sleep, I'm beginning to feel regretful hopefully something has got father busy" Dream said softly as she gazed upon the kingdom of Alerica. She got onto her white horse as she began riding back to her kingdom. Once arriving to the castle and replacing Sleep back to her stable she saw folk rushing by preparing for an event. She saw her mother in her favorite gown that she wore for events. Dream walked up the stairs of the grand hall up to her mother. "Mother, what's the occasion?" Dream asked as her mother smiled respectfully. "Well, you see since your father agreed to Alerica's offer were having a peace banquet" Queen Lake said in her sweet, soft voice. "Mother, is brother going to be at this banquet?"
"Yes, of course and so are you."
Dream sighed and nodded slightly. "I shall go prepare for the banquet" Dream said walking off quite upset at the thought of her brother attending the banquet. Already knowing her mother has asked a maid to have a few dresses out for her in her room. Dream sighed not wanting to attend the banquet. I'll just keep my head down and make sure not to make eye contact with anyone Dream thought as she sighed as she closed her eyelids. -
Duncan walked to his room to get dressed. He browsed his clothes and dismissed his servants and selected his military dress uniform. He selected good pants and boots and strapped his sword to his belt and hid a dagger in his boot. He rose and bathed before putting on the clothes and getting ready to go to the banquet. He grabbed a hat as well, that way he was not bare headed and walked to see if the royal convoy was ready and check with the military council to check the invasion progress, and tell new of Itellican soldiers inside Alercia.
-
Dream soon found a dress fitting for the small banquet. As she looked at herself in the mirror that was part of her oak wood dresser Dream felt out of place. She sighed knowing she would need to dress appropriately. As Dream began braiding her hair into a side braid. Once done with braiding her hair Dream placed her tiara onto her head and sighed. Maybe mother will allow a few flowers into my hair Dream thought as she finished preparing her outfit. After just a few moments Dream began heading to the dining room. The dining room had serval doors in different directions. The table was set in the finest silverware. Dream looked at the seats as she saw her brother already patiently waiting for her to enter. "Dream, you rode off didn't you? It doesn't matter just take a seat" Christopher said in quite an angered tone. "You do indeed have the personality of a demon but have the appearance of an angel most women fall for" Dream murmured as she walked towards her seat which was beside her brother. As she sat in her seat she felt pure miseary.
-
The caravan arrived and Duncan led his family to the room he had a conference in. It was splendidly decorated and well furnished. The Waters royal house where seated ad a table with eight spots and covered with silk tablecloth. King Lake sat at the table's head with his wife to his left, son to his right, and his daughter beside his son. King Drake sat opposite King Lake with the queen to his right and Duncan to his left.
-
Queen Lake looked at her miserable daughter and sighed. She slowly began planning a small idea just enough to make believable. "Dream, Christopher and Duncan why don't you two run along to the garden to get to know each other better" Queen Lake spoke with a sweet and kind tone. "OK, mother come along Prince Duncan" Dream said standing with a faint smile. Christopher stood as well and began heading his way to the garden. Dream waited patiently for Prince Duncan so she shall lead the way.
-
Duncan looked to his father who nodded and rose. He bowed to the table and followed Dream calmly out if the grand room. It would be nice to learn of the Waters castle and Capitol for the embassy. He also wanted to speak with the heirs, because he thought that they may have better alliances to offer than their father. He wondered if they were going to the stables. He knew Dream rode but was not sure if that was the same in Christopher. With these thoughts in his head, he prepared to go.
-
As the two walked in silence Dream wanted to create small talk but nothing serious. Dream looked over by the door to seeing whom was awaiting them. Of course without second thought it was her brother. "Oh, Christopher would you please just leave me in peace? I don't need your assistance day and night, I'm perfectly find to go along my path on my own," Dream said in a normal tone. "Now, would you please go about your day?" Dream asked sighing. "Oh, Dream I shall never leave your side but as your wish I'll leave you alone for now" Christopher replied with full disrespect for the younger "How about never?" the younger murmured softly.
Dream passed by him intl the garden. As an habit she went over to a colorful flower bed. Dream slowly began picking a few delicate flowers. "Prince Duncan I am guessing you shall want to talk more out Waters but therefore I cannot help you. I just want to enjoy my moments of peace, I'm not willing or in the modd to speak about anything related to what my mother or my father need to handle with" Dream said straightforwardly without hesitation. -
Duncan nodded. His thought melted. "I agree. A fine garden you have. Something us Alercians forget. We have new beauty in artificial thinks, and forget natural magnificence." He said. He breathed in heavily through his nose and caught Dream's scent, of flowers and fresh fruits and honey. He nodded. "Peace, it is a great thing, but only achieved through war, as that is the nature of humanity." He closed his eyes. "Is there anything you wish to speak if, or ask me?" He questioned.
-
Dream nodded in the slightest way as possible as he tiwrled a full bloom daisy. The smell of the daisy filled Dream's nose. "Oh, why thank you for the compliment" Dream said at his compliment to the garden. "To achieve peace here in Waters we have done so by trade instead of war" Dream spoke with a soft tone as she carefully placed the daisy in her hair. "Do you only talk about trade and politics? It is indeed important but not as important as freedom is" Dream said as she soon grabbed a rose with thorns. Not bothering about pricking her finger she tugged the rose off its stem. Very cautiously Dream wieved the flower into her hair.
-
"Freedom is not as nice as you might think, at least true freedom is. Because to have it, it requires no rules, no regulations, no government. It leaves a twisted anarchy instead of peace. But, I shall not talk of that anymore. So, what is it that you do in your spare time?" Duncan said. Just then a crash and the sound of breaking glass resounded from within the castle. It was followed by screams and shouts and sounds of battle. Duncan leaped to his feet and took off. He ran to the front if the castle to see a group of bandits riding off with the kings and queens.
-
Dream rushed her way after Duncan. Filled with anger she could not waste enough time to get her sword and Sleep prepared. She sighed to feeling how useless she is. Dream rushed over to the injured guards. She sighed and looked at their injuries. Soon after hearing a servant rush up to the injured guards and Dream she spoke. "M'lady I'll go retrieve nurses and doctors for this terrible incident." Dream nodded as she pressed tightly against one knight's wounds. "Please go fetch my brother, we need to discuss about how we'll plan to recieve our parents and whom will take over during their absence" Dream said feeling miserable. How could this happen?! I'm going to recieve my mother and father no matter at what cost Dream thought as the servant rushed off to get the nurses and doctors.
Christopher soon came outside to Dream with a faint smile. "I'll go see if any soldiers are injured along the border" Christopher said as she walked doown the road. As Christopher went off Dream watched him go off into the distance. "With a heart of murder and soul of a demon nothing like this will make him cocern about anyone" Dream murmured as she tightened her grip on the guard. -
Duncan stood idly by. "We must send the Alercian special fighters at once, they will get the job done. Then set up lockdown in Waters, and let us build a military outpost on the Ittelican border. The Ittelocabs attacked me earlier today, and I think they have a part In this. Until then, we must operate our kingdoms. Because we are allies, I say you should take the throne. Your brother is a cruel man. I will put martial law on my kingdom until the conflict is fixed. Chasing them now is futile, fetch some couriers and lets get the message out." He said. "I cannot return to Alercia yet, with them still in your kingdom, and because my people are great at many things, but accusers of all. I will be blamed for this." He hung his head.
-
Dream had listened to the other but only respond to his comment about her brother. "Please, I know my brother is cruel but you may not speak about my brother that way." When speaking she had eyed the visitng prince. She soon faced the guard with a faint smile. "Hold tightly on the wound I'll return with nurses to bring you both to the infirmary" Dream had spoke with a faint voice. Her voice was soft almost a whisper. The other guard held tightly to his wound already knowing waht to do with his wound. Dream soon stood upright, lifted her grown allowing her to run and then she ran her way to the infirmary. I know my brother is a cruel man but it doesn't give him the right to speak such words about my brother! He may have killed another but he is threatening, dangerous to society, dangerous to whom may get in his way. If he shall speak such words he may be kilt in his sleep due to my brother's instinct and need to possible kill, Dream sighed as she paused her thoughts. Alothugh Duncan is a intelligent, ah I need to stop focussing on that and get to the infirmary Dream had finished her thoughts reaching the infirmary.

Duncan hunted down a courier and sent word to Alercia before looking for the Waters military head. He mounted Joker and gallop off to find it. It was vital that he could organize joint military, but then he would need to try to convince Dream to put the kingdom under martial. that will be difficult, cause she is quite compassionate, and nice, and the way her hair-wait, stop that! I am a warrior, I should not be swooned by some princess he thought. He nodded and set off down the path again.
