Avery pushed him playfully. "That girl must be devastated. What if that was you. and why did you say thanks when she said we were a cute couple?" she asked.

"Why would she be devastated? I don't know her. If it was me I'd probably just go 'oh their dating'. It also seemed like the right thing to say, do you know how to respond to that?" He rambled on.

Avery sighed and crossed her arms. "Oh, we're not dating but he's interested!" Avery said and looked at him.

"I don't see why I'd say that." He said shaking his head, "Stop looking at me like that!"

"Fine, I'll stop looking at your handsome face." She said as she walked down the street. She stopped when she saw a necklace that was beautiful. She walked passed it and sighed.

Matt groaned and followed after her, "I didn't mean it like that, you were giving me the disappointed mother face." He said.

"I wasn't giving you any face. I'm sorry! Okay, why don't we just go look for jobs." She said and crossed the street.

Matt's eyes widened, he wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled her back to the curb. The car honked as it passed by not decreasing speed at all, "Are cars a foreign consept? And you were giving me a look."

Avery screamed and hugged Matt tightly. "I'm sorry. Thank you!" She said and looked at him.

Matt hugged her back, "You're okay." He mumbled he kissed the top of her head.

Avery looked at him. "I'm glad you were there. Thank you!" She said again.

Matt nodded, "Shhh..." He said trying to get her st stop, he hoped she got the hint.

Avery stopped talking. Everyone walked over to them to see if they were okay. "This yound man saved this girl!" The crowd started cheering.

Matt placed his forehead on top of her head, "I want to go back to the hotel." He groaned, "You are okay though,right? I didn't ask."

"Okay." She said. "Yeah, I'm fine! If you weren't here, I'd probably be dead by now!" She said.
