"You said the horse is very calm, so it shouldn't be a problem," He huffed, wrinkling his nose. He sat on the bed, leaning back, knowing that he wasn't planning to move until this crisis was resolved. He could be pretty bratty sometimes, and this was certainly going to be one of those times. He closed his eyes, putting the backs of his hands over them, stretching.
-
Matt thought about that for a second and nodded slowly, figuring that it would look odd, but was nevertheless a good idea. "Okay.. If that's what you want. Now if you'll come with me to the stables, you can meet your horse. It will help calm you both and make this whole thing go down a lot smoother." He indicated through the open door.

"Alright! Yay," He hummed, standing to follow Matt out the door. Ian, after the other had shut it, slipped an arm through Matt's smiling at him. "I think, when we get back, I want pizza. You do have pizza here, right? We're not all that far from Italy, are we?" They were, actually, but that didn't really matter in his mind. -
(It does that a lot?)
Matt's face turned red in embarrassment as Ian linked arms, and he turned his face away, pretending to look for someone. Big rule for servants: you can look but don't touch. He wasn't really the touchy-feely type anyway, but he sucked it up, since it seemed to make the prince happy. "Ah, we're quite far away from Italy, but I'm sure the cooks can whip you up something. They're quite talented.." He led them out of the palace and out towards the stables, giving waves to random people as they walked. -
(All the freaking time..)
"Oh. Hm.. How close are we to France? Spain? I've always wanted to go there, you know. Sightsee.. Have you ever had pizza? I don't think I saw any chain restaurants that I knew, but.. Maybe," He trailed off, looking at Matt. "Am I suppose to have a tiara or some s---? What is a prince's crown even called, do you know?" -
(That sucks)
Matt was a quiet person, all the servants were. And by now, his ear was beginning to hurt. He tried to keep his cool, considering who he was dealing with. "Yes, I have had pizza, restaurants have different names here for legal purposes." After the last question, he looked up at Ian and just stared at him. "Uh...a crown?" He was never more glad when they got to the stables. The prince's horse was close to the entrance, and in no time he was stroking the Palomino's muzzle. "This is your horse. You can name him if you wish." -
(More so when it's a really long one..)
Ian was unaffected by Matt's distress, smiling at the horse, though he kept his distance. "Hm," He thought, looking around. What about.. What about Arthur? Like, you know, the king from all those stories?" He grinned, proud of his name choice. After a moment, he added a, "Hey, you'll be riding a king!" He meant it as a perverted joke, of course, being a teenage boy. -
(Ooh yeah. That happened to me yesterday. Typed it all up, it was huge. The thing logged me out instead of posting -.-
Hehehe he will later xD)
Matt hummed a little and nodded, smiling. "Ah, Arthur Pendragon of Camelot, yes?" He stood frozen for a minute before looking up at Ian with a blank stare, seriously wondering if this person was fit to rule. "Yes...I suppose I will..." He continued with the stare for a few seconds before excusing himself to get the tack. He headed to the back room, only allowing himself to blush after his back was turned. -
(Duuuude. I would have had a rage quit.
xD Yeah. Ian is a dork, though..)
The young prince was happy with the reaction, slowly moving to stroke the horse's muzzle while he waited for Matt. The boy had seem so flustered, and he knew he wanted to see that face again, all panic under a clean slate, no amusement.. -
(I almost did.. Haha he's cute xD )
Matt made it to the tack room and draped himself over a saddle, sighing in frustration. Not even a day into it, and he was already considering recommending that they send Ian back to the States. He would rather die before he lived under a king like that. Grunting as he stood himself back up, he grabbed everything they needed and began the trek back to the stall. Halfway there, he stopped and chuckled to himself. Of course...the prince wanted to go back, and would probably do anything he could to be sent back. He had encountered the same thing while babysitting the head housekeeper's four-year-old daughter. Besides, he would improve. All Matt had to do was teach him and remain unemotional about it. He double-timed back to the stall, his arms already getting sore from the load. -
When Matt came back, Ian looked over at him, raising an eyebrow. "That looks heavy," He commented, stepping away to let him through. He made no move to help him, leaning against the stable wall, looking upward. The roof was like that of any other barn, with thick beams. There was an area for hay bales father back, but Ian wanted the beams. While Matt was busy with the horse, the young prince climbed up the hay loft ladder, swinging over so that he was sitting on one of them. He scooted back, and into the shadows, drawing his feet up so that it would be hard to spot him.
-
He set the tack down on a barrel and nodded. "It is." He led Arthur into the aisle and made sure the horse's lead was securely fastened to a wall before giving it a thorough brushing. Once the horse was clean and presentable, he made sure all the tack was on and fastened securely. He gave Arthur a few pats before noticing the missing prince. Figuring what had happened, he sighed. "What am I gonna do, huh?" He murmured to Arthur. "Do I have myself a pain of a prince? Did I deserve this? Mm, didn't think so.." He waited until one of the stable boys came by before letting him in on the situation, and telling him to have everyone on the lookout.
(owo so should the king come into the stables to make sure Ian is ready or something?) -
(or something)
Ian stayed silent where he was, waiting. It was a few minutes later that, out of the corner of his eyes, he spotted a VERY BIG rat snake. With a scream, he scrambled to get away from it, which resulted in him falling off the beam, and onto one of the stable hands. Luckily, no bones were broken, and both of them stood up, startled. Ian turned, giving Matt a weak smile. "There was.. Was a, uh.. Snake."
