"Thennn why didn't you tell her?" she asked into her pillow.

Riley smiled a bit. He picked her up and held in her lap. "No hiding in your pillow." he said. "I didn't tell her because well..." he blushed a bit. "It's not because I'm ashamed, Cal. It's because it was special to me. Something just between the two of us. Because we love each other. I'd never be ashamed of that." he said, smilingat her.

Calanthe smiled and looked at him. "But what if I got pregnant?" she asked.

Riley thought for a moment. "Then we'd deal with that, in whatever way is best for you and the baby. But it wouldn't change the way I feel about you." he said.

"Okay." Calanthe said and hugged him tightly. "I love you!" she said.

Riley smiled and hugged back. "I love you too, Cal."

Calanthe kissed his neck and smiled.
