Because I'm not going to allow you to keep this charade up. Bird's mental state is bad enough without having to worry about some woman who doesn't even need him.
*poker face, shadows continue writhing* -

You have someone else to take care of you, and your children. You don't need Bird anymore. So, I'm taking him back. I'll give him my powers again, then take them back like last time. The trauma of the powershift should be enough for him to forget you.

I know it seems like I don't care. I mean, yeah, Taylor's around.. And Heima likes him a lot. But that doesn't mean we're giving up on him. I'm not. I know it sucks that I'm not with Pride, but you can't take the bond I've built with him away from me just like that! I didn't ask for him to worry, though I'm not asking for him to forget about us. Nnn, Selim, please! -
*shadows vanish, looks extremely tired and very much like a normal kid for an instant, as he closes his eyes*
I don't like lying to him. He doesn't know. He asked me to keep and eye on you and the kids for him. He'll come back from a mission, and he'll ask about you all. And I'll have to explain you're all fine, and come up with some random story as to where you are, what you're doing.
*opens eyes, doesn't bring back shadows but glares at you*
He has enough to worry about without the distraction of a family that's no even around. -
Then stop making things up. Tell him exactly what's going on. Let's see.. My whole family got stuck in a time warp, I've had a memory loss for a while, now I have it back.. The kids are back, too. Oh, Heima's apparently killing people with those shadow things? Reminds me of someone here.

I'd be around if I could. I can, but I.. I just can't commit the love he deserves. Is that so bad that you can't handle letting him remember? I swear, Selim, I'll come around more often if that's all this is about! I've been wanting to see him, anyway.. Maybe he'll calm down if we visit him. I'd personally enjoy that.. -
I'm not doing that. Maybe you've forgotten, but he's borderline insane. Any sort of stress like that might tip him to a point where even I am no longer to control him. Your beautiful Bird killing all those people in Nocte that he swore to protect, all because he received news that while he thought everything was well, things were not.
*shakes head*
It's better if he forgets you. You'll cause him nothing but pain. And you want me to tell him the truth? Why don't you? Tell him you're with someone else. That Heima called someone else his dad.
