sorry had to go project stuff
"Oh," he said once she was already gone. He held his breath for a moment, contemplating how his stay would actually be after discovering how young he was compared to the other patients. Everything felt strained, then. He would be hurt and lonely, he was sure. Always jumping to conclusions was a talent of his, and it was showing very prominently in that moment. -
She headed downstairs to find a nurse, and instead discovered that breakfast was over. As she helped an elderly man back to his room, she tried to decide how to formulate her question. Aspen caught the attention of another nurse as she finished helping the patients and asked about Collin, which inspired the nurse to go check on him and finally help him with medication. She then went to find her mother, who surely held the other answers that both she and the young actor needed.
-
Collin was incredibly thankful when a nurse finally hurried into his room to ask him about his pain level. He would thank Aspen the next time that he had an encounter with her. He had first been astonished at how quickly someone had come for him. A conversation about what he could and could not do. She left promptly after they were finished chatting to grab the proper medication.

She headed upstairs to the fourth floor, where she knew her mother would be. She knocked then opened the office door, peeking in quietly. She could tell that the music playing quietly was the soundtrack to Mamma Mia! the Musical. She should've guessed, her mom seemed to have a hidden passion for showtunes that she doubted anyone would guess, especially based on appearances. "Hey Mom, you busy?" she asked, stepping into the room.
"What do you need, hon?" her mom replied, glancing up at her from the paperwork covering her desk. A few blonde strands had slipped out of her messily-made bun, and her reading glasses were close to falling off of her nose. The girl smiled at the sight.
"I was wondering about that boy, Collin? He--"
"If you're hoping for some dramatic, romantic fling, forget about it. He's here for recovery, Aspen. Can't believe you'd even think of such a thing," her mother cut in, teasingly.
"Mom. No. I was wondering why he's here. I mean, I know why he's here, but he isn't exactly our target demographic, is he?" While she knew her mom was joking, she couldn't hide her shock. She hadn't even considered something like that, but now that she was... the thought was appalling.
Her mother smiled. "His... managers, I think? They asked around and, apparently, we were recommended. They liked the idea of a space free of teenagers. They thought it'd help him recover faster, if he didn't have any distractions."
Aspen nodded thoughtfully. That made a little more sense. -
In a little amount of time, the nurse had returned with a bottle of some sort of pills. Now, Collin was not an idiot, and once the nurse was about to feed him the medication, he stopped her. He asked her kindly for the pill bottle, which she handed over. His eyes scanned over the side-effects of the medication, noticing a few things such as drowsiness or weak muscles and euphoria. He swallowed lightly but accepted the medicine as it was. "Thank you so much," he told the nurse as soon as he had swallowed the two necessary pills. She nodded and left the pill bottle inside of the nightstand at the end of the bed. Once she knew he did not need anything else, she left the room, shutting the door as to allow him se rest.

Aspen spent a majority of her day helping out around the center, specifically with therapy. Her lifetime of experience made her comfortable with not only the patients, but with helping them slowly recover. By lunchtime, most of them were done with their therapy and had free time. She took her plate of food up to her room and, on the way, stopped to check on Collin. He was asleep, so she decided to close the door quietly and headed upstairs.
-
Catch in a deep, medicine-induced slumber, his spent a majority of it in complete darkness. It was not for a while until either a dream or nightmare began to form. Snoring lightly in the physical world, he turned onto his casted side, but he was unable to feel any sort of the pain. In the dream, the studio in which Freezing Point was filmed appeared slowly, and he could see himself exiting the through the back door.

She ate lunch in her room, where she was able to go online and then read. While she was reading, she started pondering her social life. She had friends, didn't she? She called them a lot, especially on Skype and, hey, maybe she hadn't seen some of them in a few years, but... they were still her best friends, right? Out on adventures, together, that she occasionally heard about.
She wasn't sure if this was uplifting or depressing. -
The air was cold and it was almost as though he could feel it in real life. Inside of the dream, the loud shots hit off, which caused for him to jump in fear. He glanced in all directions but was unable to find the source. Once he looked down at himself, he saw the blood seeping out and into his clothes. It was then that his life flashed before his eyes, and he fumbled to grab his cell phone before he slammed onto the ground. "Ah!" he yelped as he awoke, feeling repulsed for being so frightened.

(my character is a better student than i am right now)
She checked to see if any of them were online, desperately needing some reassurance that she had a life of some sort. Finding that they were all offline, she settled into a brief period of self-pity before remembering other obligations she had. Aspen was homeschooled and, considering that her teacher was sitting down the hallway, she should probably finish up her extra work. It wasn't her favorite thing to do, but it would keep her mind off of things. -
(Thats how it usually is cries)
He sat up as well as he could in the bed. Surprisingly, he was in no sorts of pain, but he was, however, in fear. He pulled the cover up and over his knees. Something about the blanket brought security. He sighed heavily, the breaths shaking as though he was either chilly or crying. But he wasn't going to cry, no, he didn't want to seem needy. -
(chill, aspen. also wtf why do i keep thinking her name is alpine. that's my name)
Her work kept her busy for the next half an hour. She headed downstairs to put away her plate, and checked in on Collin on the way. This time he was awake, and he looked a bit traumatized. She frowned, setting her plate on the floor next to the door before asking to come in. "Is everything alright?" she asked in a voice just above a whisper. -
(alpine? fantastic.)
His refused to make eye contact. "Nn, yeah," he replied, of course lying to the young lady. He pulled the covers up to his shoulders, then, gritting his teeth together in frustration with himself. The idea that he was going to allow himself to be engulfed by the attack. He despised that idea, actually. "Everything is okay." -
"Okay. I was about to head down to the kitchen and wondered if you were hungry at all..." she trailed off, realizing she was making everything incredibly awkward, again. Maybe she would've been better at socializing and making small talk if she had actual friends that she saw every day.
