Personality: Tries to be kind, no matter his circumstances. Enjoys life to its absolute fullest, because he knows that his will never end- at least as far as he thinks. He steals cars, credit cards and wallets, and spends his nights spending stolen money in nice hotels.
Background: He was born and 1950, and was raised normally until he was bitten in 1966. At only 16, he had to leave home, and started his life with a nomadic group of vampires. On occasion, he meets with them, and they always keep contact with each other if help is needed.

That's fine
A vampire can have a life. Really, it was so stupid, Jared thought, that the other vampires he knew took to hiding away and sucking at blood bags all day. It was sad, really, it was. He knew he was the only one of his group that had enough self control to walk around normal people without hamming out and killing someone in the middle of the street. But then, maybe it was because he wasn't so given to letting himself get completely addicted to the soothing red substance that the others kept in plastic ziploc baggies in their refridgerators. Jared liked his fresh, and that was rare. Had to keep a low profile.
So, he pampered himself. He'd learned to be a fantastic pick pocket, and used several fake names to get around. Whenever he killed, he took the blood he needed, and bagged up the rest for his bodies. He could only kill once or twice in a town before they all had to leave, and then they were on the move. So he could really do as he pleased in each town, and then so forth everywhere he went.
The town they were in now was actually a repeat, from a few years back. Which wasn't so bad, except that they'd have to be a little careful. Use different names than what they'd used before, kill in a different way. Jared didn't care to change his car, or clothes, or much else. He drove the same old car from the 70's, wore the same tee shirts and jeans. On his first day there, he was driving around by himself, and ended up parking at a Denny's. Sitting. Waiting, for the sort of person who would look tasty. -
mine is le 20
After having been rejected help and nearly run out of gas, Garrett Faye pulled the latest car he had rented, a fiery orange Charger, into a Denny's parking lot. Tired and frustrated, and admittedly very hungry, he slowly parked and ran a hand through his hair. It could have been shorter, but he enjoyed the length, and haircuts weren't on the agenda when it came to having a limited summer break to travel freely in order to find the answers he wanted.
Once his car was completely off and the keys were in his hand, he exited the vehicle. He locked it and pulled the hood of his black hoodie up. The air was breezy, thankfully. It helped keep the 20 year-old cool in the humid, summer weather. Patting the back of his pants for his wallet, he noticed that there weren't many cars in the lot, and he sighed in worry. He was miles from the next gas station and he had been hoping to get help from somebody inside of the restaurant.
Garrett took quiet steps as he approached the front of the establishment. He groaned as he realized that it was, in fact, closing. He peered at the times listed on the door, seeing that they were to have closed at midnight. He glanced at his phone after fishing it from his pocket. The digital numbers marked exactly 11:55 PM. A large groan came from his throat as he noticed waiters and waitresses cleaning up and the cashier performing the final money countup.
"f---ing great," he muttered, dropping down to sit on the cement paths. "Just great." He knew that he didn't have enough gas to even make it a half a mile, let alone three. He put his hands on his forehead in frustration. -
Jared was patient as he waited for someone, anyone to pull up. He'd pulled up to a Denny's because it had to be somewhere where there wouldn't already be a lot of people so late at night. A twenty four hour place like Wendy's wouldn't do, there would be too many people around to see Jared ifhe grabbed someone for dinner.
It was a little while, but eventually, he saw another car pull up. The fact that it was an expensive looking vehicle was not very reassuring that this person would be fit for eating- a wealthy person is someone people would be looking for immediately, and have search teams on Jared's trail for ages. It would extremely inconvenient for everyone involved. He was reassured, though, when he saw the vehicle had rental plates. This person was traveling. No one would be expecting him home. He was perfect.
He watched as the man went to the building, saw it was closing, and sat down just outside of it on the path. Jared took it as his chance. He slid out of his car, locked it behind himself, and strolled over to the guy on the sidewalk. Once he was about twenty feet off, he smiled, and said, "Hey there, is this place closed?" -
Garrett had then taken his hands off of his head and was hopelessly fiddling with the Charger's set of keys. His mind was thinking at one hundred miles per hour as he thought of where he could go for help. This kind of thing had only happened one other time, back in San Francisco. He had been driving nonstop in search of a small motel where a suspect could have been hiding out. Eventually, however, his gas had warned him it would be empty soon. He had run completely dry in the middle of nowhere. Help was only given once a quirky family of four, on a family vacation, had found him.
This was nothing like San Francisco, however. This was the city, he could easily walk somewhere else if help was that necessary. The only problem was how he would be capable of crossing the very busy road. He wondered how difficult the task was. He had completed such actions in other places on his crazy journey.
As he thought, a voice had piped up. He tilted his head upwards, pulling his hood politely down.
"Yeah, man. They're closing up now." -

Sorreh I'm taking a long time to reply im packing to travel tomorrow :c
Jared took a second to fully survey the man. At least, as much as he could from that distance, as he was still a good few feet away. Younger, probably, but in his twenties still. His car was a rental, so again, Jared knew he must be traveling. And if he was lucky, he was already quite a distance from whatever home he was leaving.
The older piped up with a frown, "Oh. Were you planning on getting dinner here? I was." He shrugged, leading up to a suggestion for them to find another place to eat together. Jared knew he would be able to manage to convince the boy of at least that, and if he could get him to ride in his car, even better. -
Don't worry about it
where ya going to traaaavel to?
"I mean, I'm hungry, yeah, but I also was going to see if they had gas." He stood. "This car didn't have much to begin with and now it's basically empty." A sigh came from the male as he stepped down and onto the pavement. This seemed somewhat sketchy to him. Most of the time, he was comfortable with other people such as the person he was encountering then, but something about the situation screamed danger. He was also pretty positive that the car had already been there.
"I'll probably just walk to the nearest gas station, wherever it is." -
I'm moving to Georgia tomorrow c: I get to drive and whatnot for nine hours.
"Gas, huh?" He looked over at the rental car, then back at the man. So he'd been driving long enough for the tank to run out, good. Far far away from a familiar place. "That's too bad. Can't trust rentals, really."
When he heard the other state that he planned on walking, he dove in for the kill. Figuratively, of course. He scoffed, and shook his head, "Walk? It's a while down the road, and that's a busy street. Why don't you let me drive you there and back? And maybe stop for a bite to eat on the way, since Denny's isn't working out. I'll pay, my treat." -
Oh wow. :0 have fun!!
Though hesitant, what the other was offering sounded genuine and kindhearted. He nodded, but told him, "Sure, actually. Thank you so much! I just have to grab a few of my things from the car...One second." He grinned in thankful happiness, strolling towards the Charger in an elated fashion. The night would not be so horrible, after all, Garrett decided. Unlocking the doors, he entered the vehicle and grabbed everything that was his. This included a leather wallet with his initials stitch meticulously into it, another hoodie showing off a deep red color, and a small stuffed animal. He shoved this into his pocket.
The stuffed animal had been a gift to him from his now-deceased parents in his Christmas stocking. It was a deep purple giraffe with sky blue spots all over. He brought it everywhere with him for what he believed was good luck, and truthfully, he thought it was the only thing he could hold onto and actually keep. He reassured himself that everything was in check and hurried to join the male. -
