(He's going to start sitting on the tallest thing he can find now. Also I get the feeling that he's incredibly flexible like real cats? Nekos share the spinal flexibility thing)
Adrian crawled out of the car and was, once again, unimpressed. His owner's home was similar to the other places in which he'd lived, so it was nothing new to him. He was more concerned with how the servants would view him. Servants usually disliked nekos, and found them to be foolish beasts exempt from the hard work that they had to endure. Perhaps they were just envious, but the neko had never been respected by another servant, at least in private. He followed Zayn up the steps and into the house. -
(Wonderful. Yeah, that would make sense.)
Zayn hummed as they walked up the steps, flashing a smile at the two butlers holding the doors open. The butlers gave Zayn a warm smile and turned to Adrian, smiling at him as well. A servant with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes in a short bright blue dress and white flats greeted the two as the doors behind Zayn and the neko. She beamed at the two, eyes on Adrian. "Awh, is this the newest member of our home? He's so cute!" She gushed, leaning over and ruffling Adrian's hair slightly. "Make yourself at home!" She insisted, giving Zayn a tight hug before rushing off to do whatever. Zayn smiled at Adrian, walking forward and motioning for the neko to follow him up the spiral staircase. "Your room is on the second floor." -
People just kept petting him. His ears perked as his hair was ruffled, and he involuntarily let out a happy coo. For a moment, he wondered how many servants he could get to pet him at once, but abandoned the thought as they headed for the staircase. His tail swished back and forth as he walked up the steps to the second floor. "How many people live here?" he asked.
-
Zayn shrugged as they reached the top of the spiral staircase. "I have about fifty servents but only three live here. I let them stay because they're my favorites. You met one of them downstairs, that was Addison. She's only sixteen. Then there is Linda. She's almost eighty but she makes beautiful clothing. You won't see her very much. And last and of course not least, Lucifer. He's only eight. His parents sold him to the auction house and I felt so bad for the poor thing. He's more of a little brother to me than a servant," he explained as he walked down the hallway and opened the last door on the left. "This is your room," he said. The room was pure white with a large, black king sized bed in the middle and a desk. There was also a flat screen on the wall in front of the bed. "I can paint it your favorite color."
-
So those were the ones to befriend. This lifestyle was all about finding someone else in a similar situation, then appealing to the majority through that person and their experience. He was good enough and tolerant with children, considering that most of his previous owners had them. For now, though, he just needed to get used to Zayn. Adrian turned to look at his owner. "I'd like that."
-
(Lucifer
Addison
And Linda is just some old lady.)
Zayn gave the neko a small smile. "You may stay in here until Addison comes up to get your for dinner or you may wander around. I have a beautiful garden out back, it's like a maze. There is a library on the third floor and an indoor pool on the first. Do what you like, Adrian," he said before he left the room, heading downstairs to find Lucifer. -
(cool)
The library piqued his interest more than anything else, but he wasn't in the mood to go look for something right now. The stress and panic from earlier had exhausted him, and the bed looked very comfy. He walked over and got up on top of it. He fell asleep almost instantly, even though he was sitting up. -
(not really)
Zayn was greeting at the bottom of the stairs by Addison. "Hey, where did Lucifer go after you picked him up from school?" He asked, adjusting the tiara on his head. "I think he's in the Art Room," she responded with a smile. "I think he has a chance in becoming famous for his work, Zayn. Even at eight, his work is magnificent." Even Zayn had to agree with that. He nodded, giving Addison a small smile before walking down the hallway on the first floor to the Art Room. He opened the door slowly and saw Lucifer standing in the middle of the well light room, paintbrush in hand and easel in front of him. The room was windows on all sides except one, where the door was, and the ceiling was even made of class. A counter was lined around the room with art supplies and paintings Lucifer had made before were hung up on the walls. Lucifer saw him and dropped the paintbrush, running towards Zayn. "Daddy!" He said happily. Zayn smiled and threw his son up into the air when he saw him. "Hey, Lucifer. How was your day at school?" He nodded as Lucifer spoke, but his mind was on the neko. He didn't want the neko to find out he had lied about adopting Lucifer and he was really his own, but he wasn't up to that yet. -
(He had a child when he was 14?)
His breathing was soft and rhythmic as he slept, oblivious to what was going on in the rest of the mansion. He eventually flopped onto his side and curled up into a ball, his tail wrapping around his legs. -
(Yes. Yes he did.)
Zayn watched Lucifer paint as they listened to soft music until Addison came in and informed them that dinner was ready. He picked Lucifer up and held him at his hip like he was smaller. Lucifer squealed as they walked to the dining hall. "Addison, can you go get Adrian, please? He's in the bedroom on the second floor, last door on the left." She nodded and scurried off as Zayn sat Lucifer down and sat down himself. The table was bit enough for at least twenty people.
Addison went upstairs and swung open the door to the neko's room, forgetting to knock. "Adrian, wake up! Dinner time~" She singed. -
(That's a little odd.)
Adrian's eyes opened slowly, an annoyed expression on his face. He stood, stretching, and hopped off the bed, slinking towards the door. "What?" he yawned, a soft coo coming out with it. He stretched again, his shirt lifting as his arms moved up above his head. -
(I know someone who has and it is.)
Addison let out a little giggle as she watched the neko wake up from his slumber. "Dinner time, silly. Come on," she said and motioned for him to follow her. Addison stepped into the hallway and walked over to the steps, heading to the first floor dining room.
Zayn hummed as the servants walked in and placed a plate full of food in front of four seats. "Make sure Linda's food gets to her room," Zayn reminded with a smile. One of them nodded, he wasn't sure of their name, and headed up to the third floor to deliver a plate of food. In front of where the four were to sit was a plate full of different types of breads, the first course for the dinner. Lucifer reached forward to start eating but Zayn stopped him, waiting for Addison and Adrian to come. -
(whyyyyyyyy would you doooo that this is why we need sex ed
Actually my best friend from middle school is pregnant and I'm tempted to confront our principal and the archdiocese about that being why we need sex ed)
Adrian followed behind the girl, trying to figure out how to talk with her. Her name was... Allison, right? Better not to ask. "So, how long have you been here? Do you like Master Zayn enough?" It was best to use the titles, then figure out whether or not the others did. -
(exactly
i would do it man we don't need pregnant kids)
Addison hummed as they walked. "I've been here since I was fourteen. I love him, he's the kindest master I've ever had. He makes sure we get all of our wants and needs and is very humble," she said with a smile, opening the door to the dining room. Zayn was playing some hand slapping came with Lucifer and only turned when Addison cleared her throat loudly with a laugh. Zayn turned and smiled at the two. "Come sit, the first course is here," he hummed, pointing at two seats in front of Lucifer and himself. Addison sat down across from Lucifer and grabbed some butter from the middle and began to butter her bread, leaving the seat across from Zayn empty. -
(no children having children. Wait she's the mom isn't she)
That sounded incredibly... fake. He followed her downstairs and into the dining room, which contained a massive table. He took the last logical seat, which happened to be across from Zayn. He brought his legs up onto the chair and sat on his knees, something he almost always did. Earlier he'd sat normally, because he was wearing his shoes and in the limo. It didn't occur to him that his owner might dislike it now.
