crap damn you
gimme like ten minutes because I'm trying to multi-task -
Constentes walked through the woods. He let out a heavy sigh as he rested on a tree, the light slightly blinding him. A slight burning sensation came from his eye, after it'd been brutally torn out. "Damn vampires," he muttered as he mentally cursed himself. He knew he couldn't take on a clan of vampires, but he knew he couldn't back out either. Tired, exhausted and hurt, Constentes got comfortable against the tree, closing his good eye as he began to think. I'm not as powerful as I thought. Vampire hunters are supposed to be strong, right? I guess I just need to train a lot more.
[I'll try to write more because I'm just really tired] -
She waited in the shadows for the sun to finally set. The vampire had come out into the woods, searching for the clan to which this territory belonged. It was customary to make yourself known to the clan in who owned the territory you'd use for hunting, then pay some sort of tribute. But she'd never met a clan as cruel as this one. As soon as Liza ran into a fellow vampire, she was deemed a dangerous intruder and held captive. After showing that she had no intention of threatening anyone's power and begging for her life, she was freed. Though she didn't want to give up, at this point, she really had no choice. She figured that if she could eliminate someone for them, perhaps a hunter, they might start to hate her a little less. But for now, what she really needed to do was avoid the sunlight and find a way out of the woods. There was no way she was walking all of the way back to the city.
-
After resting for a few minutes, Constentes opened his eye. It seemed to be much brighter, even though he only had his eye closed for about six minutes. "Time goes by so quick," he said as he grasped a tree branch and hoisted himself up. The woods looked absolutely lovely when illuminated by the sun's rays. There were no signs of vampires, which relieved Constentes. "I can't risk losing anything else," he placed a hand gently over his now empty eye socket. He began walking slowly through the woods, the shadow of the trees practically hugging him. Of course no vampires would be out now. It was too bright.
-
For now, Liza survived simply by hiding in the space under a fallen tree and its neighbor, which it'd fallen upon. She was close enough to the edge of the forest that she could see... was that a car? Yes, definitely a car. Since it was slowly getting darker, she figured she could try to hitch a ride back soon enough. Her hands pressed at the soft earth beneath her, the dirt covered with dead pine needles.
-
A large pond came into view, and Constentes stumbled towards it. "I must be close," he looked up and noticed that there were several cars in the distance. Atleast he knew his way around, so getting out of the woods was no problem. Constentes placed his hands in the water before splashing some onto his face. His bloodied eye socket looked absolutely horrid and torn. It gave him the chills just thinking that it was a part of him. "It'd be best if I got this fixed. I don't want the rest to worry about me," he talked to himself once again.
-
Somewhere in the distance, she could smell blood. It definitely belonged to a human. Practically starving, she slowly crept out of hiding, sticking to the shady patches of the ground. Whatever it was, she needed to feast as soon as she could. An already bleeding target would be easy.
-
There was a strange change in the atmosphere. Constentes could feel a.. Dark presence nearby. It made him uncomfortable, because he couldn't risk getting anymore wounded. He then decided to shrug it off and looked at the pond. He saw his reflection, his eye being such a vulgar sight. To him, this had to be one of the worst things he had endured. It was bloody, swollen and appeared infected. He didn't need to be a doctor to realize something was wrong. He could be attracting vampires right now.
-
(and suddenly, dark22978 appears, demanding homestuck)
Once she reached the source, she realized it wasn't exactly what she'd expected. Her intended victim, a human male... hunter, perhaps? was wounded somewhere she really didn't want to tear at. He'd lost an eye... probably from the clan living in the forest. It'd be easy to take him out and drag his body back, to prove that she finished off the job... but that wouldn't be fair.
"You alright?" she asked, standing far enough away that he couldn't see her sharp fangs as she spoke. -
[wait wtf]
Constentes continued to stare at his reflection. He was soon interrupted by a female voice requesting if he were alright. "Hm, why do you care?" he asked coldly. He wasn't going to tell a complete stranger of what had occured. That would be bizarre in his book. He kept looking at his eye, as if he'd never seen such a thing before. "It looks really bad," he muttered once again. There was a slight flash of light that blinded him a bit. The sun was really getting on his nerves, but he couldn't do anything about it. He could only sit and wait. -
(Liza looks about 21 or 22)
She continued to stand in the shade of a tree, thankful that it wouldn't move as fast as the branches and leaves above. "Because you're bent over a pool of water, clutching your face... what happened? I came over here to ask if you were driving into the city tonight, and if so, could I catch a ride? But it looks like you won't be driving much... seriously, hat happened?" Of course, she was playing innocent. But it definitely helped. The last thing she wanted was to be attacked while the sun was still up. "It'll be dark in ten, maybe twenty minutes... you don't want to have to stumble back to your car like that, do you?" -
[okie]
Suspicious, Constentes glared at the woman. "It was just some wolves. It's not a big deal." He stood up, still fiddling with his eye. He hated when people would bother him when he'd much rather be alone. But it was slightly nice having someone being concerned. "Just because my eye is..er, gone, doesn't mean I can't drive," he said as he stretched a bit. "I could give you a ride if you'd like, but I first need something to cover my eye. It'll be strange seeing a man with a bloody eye socket driving a car." He chuckled a bit at how ironic that sounded. -
"I don't think you should be driving. Half of your vision is gone. That's kind of dangerous, don't you think?" Someone over by the cars probably had a first aid kit. And right now, getting back downtown was more important than redeeming herself with a clan that probably wouldn't respect her anyway. She glanced at the path out of the woods, noting that it was almost shady enough for her to leave.
-
"I don't really care. I just really need to get home, I'm exhausted. Anyways, it's not like the end of the world. I can live without an eye, so I can drive without an eye," he said as he tried to sound happy, instead of letting his annoyance slip through. He was suspicious of this woman, but he didn't want to be rude. After a bit of hesitance, Constentes moved his hand away from his eye which exposed the infected socket of flesh. It was rather repulsive to look at.
