Thread Topic: Adventurers of the Bionis
-
At the beginning of time, the two titans, the Bionis and the Mechonis, fought a never ending battle against one another. As years went by, the two titans eventually wore down, slowed down, and froze, falling into an eternal slumber.
Over time, life was created on the two titans. Organic creatures popped up on the Bionis, while robotic creatures popped up on the Mechonis.
In the present day, the Bionis is being invaded by the Mechon, robotic creatures from the Mechonis.
The Adventurers of Bionis are a small group of various races who travel around the Bionis completing people's requests. They usually stick to simple find or hunt requests, but when they're asked to help to hunt Mechon around the world, they embark on a journey to help relieve the people of Bionis of the Mechon.

This soap is based off of the game Xenoblade Chronicles. It won't be exactly the same, so it won't spoil major plot points from the game.
Before I post additional info, races, and the skeletons, I want do ask a couple of things.
1) If you're interested, could you please post first?
2) Also, in that post, could you say whether or not it would be okay to use (or eventually use) certain races from the game? Races that might be considered major spoilers? -
-
Can I? I mean I've never played the game but e plot seems interesting.
-
Sure you can both join.
Can you guys answer the second question? -
Oh Eli I made the ginger cookies...
You've told me about the whole game anyways... -
Well since I don't play it that's fine. Though I might not understand what's going on sometimes.
-
Tomorrow after school I'll type out the races, then. In case anyone else wants to join.
-
Okay, sorry about the delay. I was at a friend's house after school on friday. I was really hoping to have free time on Saturday and today, but I didn't have much, therefore I didn't have a chance to type anything out.
So I'll bump this now, and work towards having the races/extra info post ready later tonight. -
Info:
Ether:
Ether is the building block of all life in the universe of Xenoblade Chronicles. Ether is needed for everything to survive on Bionis. It is said that Ether is the base unit of life and that without it, living beings die. Ether can be manipulated, however. It can be used by the races of Bionis.
Sharla and her Ether rifle are a good example.
Bionis:
The Bionis is the "Earth" of Xenoblade Chronicles. The races listed below all live on the giant warrior that is the Bionis.
Mechonis:
The Mechonis is an inorganic world. The inhabitants of the world, the Mechon, are all robotic. During the titans' battle, the Mechonis managed to stab the Bionis, lodging its sword into the Bionis's shoulder. The sword is known as Sword Valley.
Mechon:
The Mechon are the creatures of the Mechonis. They are constantly at war with the creatures of Bionis. It is unclear what their overall intentions are, but they are a serious threat to anyone unable to wield an anti-Mechon weapon, as Mechon are impervious to almost all attacks. However, Mechon can still be damaged with Ether attacks as well.
Fun Fact: A Mechon's "ten-digit" number indicates its size class and power; 30-series Mechon are barely larger than a basketball and have low stats, while 60-series Mechon are the height of a large man and have medium sized stats, and anything 70 and above can stand upwards of five meters in height being pretty strong, with 80-series Mechon in particular tending toward extreme heights and are very strong. The rare 100-series can be the size of buildings and are some of the most powerful enemies.

Races:
Homs:
The Homs are the human-type race of Xenoblade Chronicles. They, like all of the life on the Bionis, require Ether to survive. Think of it like how a plant needs sunlight.
Fun Fact 1: Homs is both the singular and plural spelling.
Fun Fact 2: They live in "Colonies." The only Colonies are Colony 9 and Colony 6.
Shulk, a Homs
Nopon:
The Nopon are small, round, egg-shaped creatures. They have six limbs. They have a pair of stubby arms and stubby legs, as well as a pair of ears/wings. They tend to keep these ears wrapped around their necks when not in use.
Fun Fact 1: Some Nopon can use their ears/wings to fly.
Fun Fact 2: An interesting point about Nopon is their unusual speech patterns, use of very short sentences, their speaking in the third person, and sometimes, their repeating of phrases. They refer to Homs as "Hom Hom", and High Entia as "Bird People".
Riki, a Nopon
High Entia:
High Entia are humanoid in appearance and are similar to Homs. Their main difference are the wings on the sides of their heads, giving them an almost angelic appearance. High Entia have a longer lifespan than Homs, with the elderly reaching three to four centuries (300-400). They are also capable of using ether without any catalyst of any sort, by gathering it from the atmosphere around them. The High Entia have the best Ether control of all races.
Fun Fact 1: Some High Entia (commonly refered to as Half-Breeds) have Homs blood in them due to one of their parents being a Homs, or a Half-Breed, or because both of their parents are Half-Breeds. Depending on the amount of Homs blood in them, their wings are smaller.
Fun Fact 2: Some High Entia can fly using the wings on their head. Though this takes a lot of practice.
Melia, a High Entia -
I'm seriously hoping that I didn't forget anything.
I'm hoping to have a least one of each race in the soap. The Nopon are a possible exception, because I'm not sure that they'll be a popular choice.
I will post the skeletons in the next post. -
An addition for the High Entia:
The wings of a pureblood High Entia (a High Entia with no Homs blood) reaches their slightly below their waist. -
Eww, ITS RAINING!!! D: I'm sad...

OKAY. I finally have the skeleton ready. Everything is now ready. *dies*
Skeleton:
Name:
Age:
Gender:
Race:
Weapon(s):
Looks:
Strength:
Weakness:
Backstory: (Optional)
Personality: (Optional)
Other: (Optional)
For the Strength and Weakness sections of the skeleton. You have to choose a stat that theyre strong in, and a stat that theyre not so strong in. The stats are:
Strength -- Affects the damage dealt with physical attacks.
Ether -- Affects the damage dealt with Ether Attacks.
Physical Defence -- Affects the amount of physical damage taken.
Ether Defence -- Affects the amount of Ether damage taken.
Agility -- Affects accuracy and evasion rates.
Think of Ether as magic. -
... You did this during English, Luna...
Anyways give me a bit... -
I meant finally as in the wait before I posted it... But yeah...
Alright.
