Matt stepped off the small plane into the terminal" I've finally arrived. " he said picking up his bags off the conveyor. -
(By the way my profile picture is of Jay, since I can't post pictures.)
Jayden was quietly reading his, sitting in what he had claimed as his tree when he saw a plane fly over head. "Jayden Oliver Nightshade, get your head out of the clouds and come eat!" His aunt Jennifer called from the kitchen window. "Coming!" He sighed, memorizing what page he was on and climbing down, though when he smelled his aunts lasagna he wasn't quite so reluctant. -

Matt walked out the terminal and hailed a taxi" Can you take me here?" He said pointing to his map." Sure" said the taxi driver. " hop in". Matt climbed into the taxi and headed for a small town to the west. -
Jay quickly ate dinner before he was out the door, faintly hearing his aunt's "Be back by ten, young man," before hopping on his bike and pedaling off. He was going to climb that huge pine tree in the park if it was the last thing he did, though considering how many kinds had broken bones on it, that might be true at least for a while.

Matt looked out the taxi window as it entered a small town " Welcome to Warner." A sign read at the entrance. " I'll get off here" matt said paying the taxi driver and stepping out. " thanks " he said before walking into town. He had his bags over his shoulder as he walked.

Jay let out a triumph yell when he reached the top, something no one else had done before. He settles down after a few minutes watching the setting sun with awe, leaning against the trunk of the tree. 'I hope your having fun out there, old man.'

Matt reached into his pocket and pulled out an old letter left by his dad." Dear son, if you are reading this then I am either dead or disappeared. Back home in the US I was searching for an ancient relic called the bound, it is said to be in the town of Warner out west. If you wish to carry on the family tradition I recommend starting here. - love Isaac Sampson. Dad."

Jay quietly slipped through the back door, clutching the strap oh is backpack tightly as he carefully crept through the dark living room. He was only five minutes late but his aunt was a stickler for being on time. Just as he thought he made it, a cough came from the kitchen and he spun around looking like a deer caught in headlights. Aunt Lilly was standing there with her arms crossed and a smirk on her face, he opened his mouth to explain why he was late but she cut him off. "Your lucky I offered to wait up for you, we'll keep this between us. Now get to bed, Jay." He sighed in relief and did as she said.

Matt walked into the nearest motel and rented a room paying $100 upfront and stepping up the stairs. He entered room #60 and put his bags on the table. " start my search tomorrow" he said as he laid down onto the bed.

Jay woke up early, getting half his Saturday chores done before his Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Frank were up. He was completely done by the time they all sat down for breakfast. "So what are you planning to do today, Jay?" Tenebrae, his aunt Lilly's fiance, asked him. He liked Tennebrae, he was good to his aunt who since she was only 23 was more like her sister, which made the young boy fiercely protective of her like he was of all his family. "I'm going to go to the beach, maybe check out the caves. Speaking of which, I should probably head out if I want to make it before high tide." He cleared his place away, before kissing both his aunt's cheeks and slinging his bag onto his back. "Love you! I'll be home for lunch, promise!" He heard laughing because they all knew that probably wouldn't happen, as he headed onto the door.

Matt awoke the next morning and grabbed his bags and walked to the diner" can I get some eggs?" He asked. The waitress came and put some on the table. " thanks h" he said as he ate.
