Christopher continued to walk in silence as he tried searching for help. Christopher sighed feeling the need to quit his journey for help. Christopher stopped once again and scanned the silent woods. Christopher walked towards a tree and leaned against the tree feeling the hard to against his back. Christopher slowly sat down, still leaning against the tree. He sighed feeling a bit upset with himself. Christopher looked up at the sky with another brief sigh. Christopher glanced at the silence and stared off into the distance. He waited patiently, hoping if someone would be passing by.

With silent feet, Alice began walking through the snow, pushing the powdery substance everywhere as she walked. The quartz in her hands really was beautiful, and she evaluated it as she walked by the river, heading upstream to where her hidden cottage was. After a while of looking at the quartz, Alice put it back in her pocket and looked up and around at the forest, wondering if there was any critter wondering around.
A small smile pulled at Alice's lips as a song popped into her head. It was a song that her mother used to sing to her all the time when she was young, before she was killed in a spell gone wrong.
"I open my lungs, dear. I sing this song a funerals, just hush. These lyrics heard a thousand times, just blush. A baby boy you've held so tightly his pain it visits almost nightly. Missing hotel beds, I feel your touch." Alice carried on with the song, her voice a beautiful soprano. She was just a seventeen year old witch out alone in the forest in the wintery lands. She couldn't have it any other way. -
Christopher heard a voice as he was simply waiting for help. The thought of help became improbable to him. Christopher stood with a smile. He began walking following the direction he had heard the voice sang. He continued to wall as his footsteps made a noise as he walked. Christopher clenched his sword a bit tightly with his hand, hoping he won't be able to use it.
-
A small noise made Alice stop singing and she turned her head in the direction in which the noise came from. In the thicker part of the forest, she saw a figure. It was very hard for Alice to make out the figure; she only saw a dark silhouette against the bright and sparkling snow. The snowflakes fluttering from the sky didn't help her much either.
Her heart started racing and she wondered if the figure was there to hurt her or not. No one ever came to her part of the woods; unless they were looking to kill her or steal things from her. She couldn't help but reach her hand towards her wand, which was in a secret pocket in her dress; the wand was almost invisible to the naked eye.
"Who's there?" Alice questioned while taking a step backwards and away from the person in the forest. "Show yourself." -
Christopher head the voice spoke and sighed with relief. "Thank god" Christopher mumbled softly feeling quite fortunate to run into someone. He released his grip from his sword and continued to walk to the figure who called out to him. Once he was near the figure he could make out the figure perfectly. It was a female girl who seemed to have been reaching for something. "Excuse me miss, do you know the way out of these parts? I've seem to have lost my way" Christopher said with a small sigh.
-
Alice looked at the man approaching her with a cautious and curious look. The man was very handsome, she'd give him that, but she wondered why on earth this male was lost in the woods! The man looked rather cold, and it seemed as if he had been lost for days, maybe even weeks. Alice blinked a few times as she returned her hands to her original position so the man wouldn't get suspicious.
"Yes, I do," answered Alice as she took a step closer to the man. "But how long have you been lost, Sir? You look rather cold. Perhaps I could take you to my cottage and you could rest a bit."
Sometimes, Alice spoke without thinking, and that was one of the times that she did. She was a witch! What was she thinking? If he found out, the man seemed more than capable of cutting her head clean off! But something told Alice that this man wouldn't hurt her. As long as she was careful, the man wouldn't find out anyway; right? -
"Thank you but I rather head back to my home, it's just been two days since I was lost in these woods nothing more" Christopher said with a small smile. He looked at the woman before him. He thought the woman was nice and caring, also quite cute for any regular woman. He glanced up at the sky to see if the snow was clearing a but it was still snowing, it would possibly be snowing for the rest of the day. He sighed with satisfaction, he loved the snow with a passion. He was born and raised within this eternal snow. He enjoyed it with all his heart. Christopher then faced his attention back to the nice female.
-
Alice herself looked up at the sky as well. The snowflakes started falling faster and faster, pounding the ground and piling up. She knew that soon the innocent snowfall would turn into a full on blizzard. After a few snowflakes assaulted her eyes, she looked back to the man and pulled her hood up more over head. "I'm sorry, but I don't believe that I've gotten your name, Sir," she spoke.
-
"Sorry for the late introduction, I'm Christopher Boson" Christopher said with a small sigh. He just wanted to take a rest but he still had to get home, one way or another. Christopher a closed his eyes for a brief moment and began thinking. I could trust this woman yet who is she? What do I know about her? Why does she live on these woods? My answer to all that right now have no answer, maybe I should just be cautious for this moment on? Christopher thought. He opened his eyes and smiled sweetly at the woman.
-
Alice smiled back at Christopher, and almost thought about telling him her name. What if he had heard of her though? Alice the Witch? She imagined that, that wouldn't go down too well, so she quickly thought of a fake name. "Well Mr. Boson, my name is Faeryn Ree. It looks like a blizzard is settling in, and I have a feeling it's going to come soon. Are you sure you want to stay out here in the woods?" Alice questioned.
-
Christopher took a moment thinking about his decision. "I guess I'll go with you, it wouldn't be so good to be stuck in a blizzard and please call me Christopher, I dislike formalities" Christopher said with a smile. He rested his hand on his sword's handle and looked back up at the sky with a sigh. He looked back down at his feet deep in thought. Damn, I should have never left, it would have been best to stay with my sick mother Christopher thought with a small frown.
-
A smile crossed Alice's face as she walked up to Christopher, who towered over her quite a bit. "Alright then, Christopher," she said while looking up at him. "My cabin is over this way. We should get there in half an hour if we walk fast enough." Alice then turned and started walking, making sure to start out slow enough so Christopher would get the hint to start walking with her.
-
Christopher gave her a small nod and began following after her once she began walking. "So, Faeryn what are you doing in these parts of the woods?" Christopher asked trying to create a conversation with her. He lightly messed with his hair and sighed briefly wanting to just lay down. Christopher looked up at the sky and began thinking of what he'll do after the blizzard's rage. Christopher covered his mouth with his cloak as he coughed. I guess I have gotten sick for all this cold weather Christopher thought with a sigh after he had finished coughing.
-
"I could ask you the same, Christopher," Alice said simply as she looked up at Christopher just in time to watch him cough. She tilted her head at his cough; it was obvious that he was sick, or at least getting sick. The cold weather could do that to people. Perhaps that's why not many people survived in the winter wonderland with its eternal winter and its harsh blizzards. "And it seems as if you're a bit sick."
-
"I believe so, I guess it really is a bad idea to stay out here to enjoy the sight of the snow" Christopher said with a brief sigh. He looked down at the snow the was beneath his feet. Christopher simply stopped for a moment and bent. He cupped his hands together and scooped up a small pile of snow. The snow rested in his cold hands. Christopher smiled briefly looking at the snow in his hands. He rubbed his thumb against the cold snow. Christopher dropped the white snow and quickly used his cloak to cover another cough.
