Kiera went to her trainer's house and tld him the news. He smiled and allowed her to get ready in the practice room. She chaged into her battle clothes and practiced her hand to hand combat as well as her swords weilding. -
Henry went to the guard's quarters to pick up his training sword. It wasn't as sharp, but it could deliver a good bruising if used right.
"Didn't know beating a woman is considered noble."
Henry turned around and saw his brother. "Josh? What're you doing here? I thought you were out on the country side or something."
"I thought I might visit home for a few days. You know, relax and get away from all this.. s---," Josh said, examining his curved sword.
"The king is commanding me to," Henry shrugged. "Not like I really have a choice in the matter. That's beside the point; How did you get here?"
"I have my ways," Josh said nonchalantly. He then said, "I haven't sparred with you since gods know how long.."
"Well, what's a better time than now?" Henry asked. Josh shrugged.
"Sure," The younger man said, walking out, with Henry following him. -
care_bear19 NoviceKiera grunted loudly and made a small frustrated noise as she spun around and miss the bag again. "Ugh. Stupid god damned-" she said punching the small bag so hard it hit the wall.
"Woah there. What did the bag ever do to you?"
Kiera looked over her shoulder and flew into the mans arms. "Gordan!" she screamed. Gordan laughed and hugged the younger woman back.
"Heya Key" he said letting go.
"Are Susan and the kids with you?"Kiera asked happily. Gordan smiled.
"No they're at grandmothers house" he said "So whats this I heard about you being on the guard?" he asked "Kiera I know you're a tough girl but fighting a member of the guar-"
"I can handle it" Kiera said bluntly. Gordan looked at her and nodded.
"Alright" he said smiling proudly. "Kiera you know you're like a sister to me... I don't want you getting hurt." he smiled "Good thing you're gonna win then"
Kiera beamed and hugged him. "Of course"
"You better get back to practice. And feel your surroundings, with you mind." he said as he walked out. Kiera nodded and set the bag back up. She closed her eyes and spun around, knocking the bag across the floor with her foot. She smirked -

Henry and Josh were out on the training field, circling eachother. Knowing that his brother wouldn't strike first, Josh ran up to Henry, and jumped back when he swung at Josh's side. Henry swung at Josh, hitting him hard in the side. Josh's arms instantly went to his side, surprised by the blow. Henry then ran shoulder first into Josh's chest. Josh barely dodged the attack, and his arm got hit. Knowing his brother wouldn't turn fast enough, he used his curved sword to hook Henry by his neck, and brought him closer. Henry swing blindly behind himself, but was quickly stopped when Josh grabbed his sword hand and pinned it behind his back. "Be aware of what you're doing. Actually think ahead." Then Josh threw Henry away from him.
"Wow," Henry said, face slightly red. "What were you doing these last few years?"
"An odd job here and there," Josh shrugged. Brandishing his sword, he asked, "Ready for another round?"
"Yeah," Henry got back into form, eyeing his brother.
(Please ignore that I can't write out any sort of action scene for the life of me xP)) -

Kiera smiled as she got out her bow, which she had named Artemis. "It's been too long my friend" she said smiling as she picked it up. She put on her arm guard and took stance. She shot a few arrows here and there. She smiled and flipped backwards and shot an arrow into the ground at the same time. She then rolled on the ground and sent three arrows flying into the air.The first one hit dead center on the target and the second one split the first arrow in half. The third arrow sliced the rope that kept the target hanging in the air. The target landed on the ground with a loud thud as Kiera got up, breathing heavily. -
A second round lasted longer than the first, and ended with Henry barely winning. "Better," Josh said between breaths.
"So, er," Henry scratched his head, not sure how to talk to his brother. "Have you tried this city's amazing cuisine?"
"Henry, I use to live here, but sure," Josh shrugged. "You're paying, though."
"Of course," Henry sighed, taking off his armor. -
care_bear19 NoviceKeira heard clapping and turned around. She smiled at the older bearded man and bowed. "Hello Sensai Mao" she said
"Hello, young apperentice" he said. "You've improved so much since you first came to me"
Keira smiled and nodded. "You were the only one who would train me"
"Well Those people must have been blind" he said "You're my best student"
"Only because I had an amazing teacher" she said. Mao smiled.
"No, young Keira, Your ability is natural. It's in your blood" he said. -
"So," Henry said after finishing his pork. "What have you been doing for the last few years?"
"As I said before," Josh said, picking up his flask of wine, "The odd job here and there."
"Yeah, I know," Henry rolled his eyes. "But what kinds of jobs?"
"Ehh," Josh started after a gulp. "A few assassinations, bodyguard stuff, escorting.. It's very mundane."
"Wait, assassination?" Henry asked.
"Keep your voice down," Josh snapped. "Don't want the wrong people hearing.." He looked around for any spies. He picked up the flask again, and offered it to Henry. "You still drink?"
Henry shook his head. "Not anymore."
"Wow, you've changed," Josh said before drinking again. -
care_bear19 NoviceKiera smiled "Thank you Sensai" Mao nodded.
"Come" he said "I want to give you something" he said walking away. Keira followed him into the great room. Mao reached up on his wall and pulled down his sword, The Jyro. Keira looked at the blue decorated sword. "Sensai I can't take.." She started. Mao cut her off,
"Keira I am old. I can no longer fight. You are my best student and the daughter I never had" he said handing her the sword. Keira bowed and took the sword.
"Thank you Sensai" -
Henry looked at the sun, and saw that it was now midday. "Time flys fast, huh," he commented. Putting a few silver coins on the table, he stood up. "Anyways, I have to fight a woman."
"I would wish you luck," Josh said, getting up as well. "But you don't need it."
"See you at the field?" Henry asked, extending his hand to Josh.
Josh took that hand and shook it. "See you at the field."
Waving slightly, Josh walked back to the castle. -
care_bear19 NoviceKeira looked outside. "It's time for me to go" she told Mao. He nodded.
"Good luck, Keira." he said and hugged her. She hugged back and picked up the sword. She started toward the field. -
Henry saw many people at the sidelines, and half of them were bards or minstrels. He sighed, thinking that this wasn't note worthy for anyone to hear. He continued to look, this time for his opponent, while a steward was putting Henry's armor on him.
"Does this fit, sir?" The boy asked cautiously.
Henry nodded. "Yes, it's fine."
Knowing his work was done, the boy went into the crowd.
Henry picked up and brandished his sword. He was nervous, and it bugged him as to why. -
care_bear19 NoviceKeira walked to the feild and saw a few people there. Some bards and Minstrels (whats that?) around the sidelines. She nodded at them and walked into the arena. She spotted her opponent and nodded at him as well.

(Well, a bard's a poet, and a minstrel is a musician of medieval Europe. Thought it would be appropriate with kings and knights :P))
Henry walked into the arena, and caught the king's eye. The king smirked and said, "Let the battle commence!"
Henry got into position, holding the sword in front of him. -

Keira bowed slightly before taking out the sword Mao had given her and holding it in front of him. She eyed her opponent and swung the sword at his unprotected lower abdomain
