After an asteroid hits the Earth, mankind now has to wait out the dust, debris and extreme climates of the surface in underground cities, and all intercommunication between these cities is impossible through normal means, and trying to make the trip to another city would be deadly. This eventually becomes a huge problem as resources in these cities run out. By this time, over 300 years after the asteroid impact, now the year 2,469 A.D., One city's inhabitants decide to leave their hiding hole and go back to tge surface, but when they get there, there are very unexpected things lying in the ruins if once bustling cities.
