She glared at him, a bit impressed he didn't send one of his men to kill her. "You're pretty cocky for a giant worm." She heard her mother yell at her for using unlady like words, but she didn't listen. "I guess I'd call my spunk more of a stupidity." She grinned a bit.
-
"I'd call it interesting." He responded. He then glowed for a moment, shrinking back down to his original form. The chain that went from his ear down to hell knows where glittered with the water against his chest.
"I've never met a human who wasn't a complete waste of air." -
She blushed lightly, try not to just stare at him, which she was doing poorly of doing so. "Stupidity and interesting run on a very thin line sir." She smiled lightly, her calmness appeared, but she still gripped the saber. "Well I've never met a serpent that could talk and shapeshift."
-
"Then I suppose I should introduce myself. I am the Prince of the Waters, Captain Reif. And you, my dear human, are free to join me." He added the last part, much to the dismay of Arya.
"But sir-" The eagle man started, scowling.
"No buts. Anyone with this kind of bravery is allowed a chance at true happiness, I think." He laughed, then started walking back toward the ship. -
She blushed lightly and glanced at her parents, this was going to be a quick decision. She waved goodbye to her parents and the rich life, following Captain Reif as he walked back to his ship. She was proud of her own decision to leave. She was a bit nervous to say the least. "Captain Reif, I should tell you my name since you...told me yours. I'm Samantha, but most people call me Sam."
-
"Sam, eh? Good, we don't have any Sam's. We eont get you confused." He laughed at his dumb joke, then motioned for them to leave.
The ship vanished from the sight of prying humans once again, and he bounded up the steps to the helm, glancing at the sea. -
She smiled a bit and glanced around the new ship she was on, in a bit of awe of all the people and..well creatures she could see or even heard of. She knew she had made the right decision to follow the Captain. She'd probably have to get used to calling him that. She started exploring a bit, trying not to get in anyone's way.
-
A figure watched her, then finally worked up the courage to approach. This figure was a girl, who hovered off the ground, her feet bare and snow white like the rest of her skin and hair. She had blue eyes that shone like turquoise, though, and wore a pink blouse and beige shorts.
Her name? We'll call her Liu.
Liu floated over to the girl, and smiled shyly.
"Sooo.." She said, her voice like a gust of sea wind. "Master Goldengill has invited you to join us?" -
Sam jumped a bit hearing a voice, but recovered quickly and smiled lightly at the girl next to her. "Yeah, he was impressed that I wasn't a complete waste of air like most humans." She tried to show a bit of humor about the comment. "I'm actually excited."
-
"Are you? I'd figure you'd be scared.." She commented, not in a threatening way, but more of a sad, ominous feel.
Reif had vanished, probably somewhere in the sea, as the sun was beginning to set. -
Sam shrugged lightly. "Well it's better than being forced to marry someone you have never met before." She grinned. "Besides I need a bit of adventure in my life." She blushed lightly. "I mean yeah I was slightly scared at the beginning but...I think I'll get used to it."
-
"I meant about being on a ship with a bunch of creatures who hold grudges against humans." She said, blinking.
-
She stopped walking for a moment and blinked. "Huh I guess I never thought of that." She said sheepishly and sighed. "Well they'll have to get used to me so...I'll still be able to do something about it right?"
-
"I guess.." Liu shrugged.
"Oh, I'm Liu, by the way...I'm a water sprite, in case you wondered.." She smiled.
"Also, I bear no grudges against humanity, so don't worry.." -
"Nice to meet you Liu, I'm Samantha, but Sam would be fine." She grinned at her new friend, which she was glad she made one.
