Randson heard the door open and quickly brushed his teeth, pinching his flat stomach once before walking out of the bathroom. He ignored his boyfriend putting the groceries away and threw his pizza box in the trash, not bothering to save the last two sprinkle covered pieces. He went back to being curled up on the white couch and turned on the flat screen, looking for something to watch.
-
Wynter finished putting everything away and sat down, doing the paper sections first.
-
Randson finally settled on some chick flick about a couple that both had cancer. He didn't understand why people watched stuff like this knowing at least one or both of them were going to die. He also didn't understand why they kept saying 'okay' to each other. Their was no point in that. He watched it in silence, anyways.
-
Wynter quickly finished with the paper forms and opened his laptop. Why did I leave the browser open..? He sighed and started typing in a site when he noticed a suggestion pop up. He squinted at it and turned to look at the couch where Ramdson was. He got up from the table and went to the bathroom. Inhaling deeply, he could totally smell that someone had gotten sick recently. He stormed downstairs and grabbed Randson by the hair, dragging him to sit down in front of the laptop. "Start explaining."
-
Randson was leaning forward on the couch, totally into the movie now. The boy was at the gas station, upset, and Randson was eager to know what happened next when his boyfriend grabbed him by the hair. He was surprised, he didn't even see him walk over. He let out a yelp, the hair pulling not feeling nice at all. He sat in front of the laptop and stared at it for a few moments before realizing what he had done. "I-I.." He was at a lost for words as he stared at the screen.
-
Wynter was really mad and yelling now. "All these things I do for you. Feeding you, making sure you're safe, getting f---ing shot for you, paying the rent, saving up to marry you, and this is how you repay me?" He gestured towards the computer screen. "That and this..?" He bared Randson's arm to expose all the cuts. "Do you think I'm stupid, Randson? That I wouldn't notice?" He glared at the boy and let go of everything. "Don't answer that. If course you think I'm stupid." He grabbed his laptop and stormed upstairs.
-
Randson was holding his breath and holding his hands over his ears. He hated when anyone ever yelled at him, it was awful. His lip quivered but he begged silently to himself not to cry. He gasped when his lover grabbed his arm. He thought the bracelets had worked. He didn't say anything as Wynter stormed upstairs. That was when Randson fell apart. He slid down to his knees and burst into tears, shaking like a dog and trying to breathe.
-
Wynter slammed his laptop onto the desk and punched at the mattress, yelling in frustration. After a few minutes, he went to the bathroom to get ready for work, taking the coldest shower possible.
-
Randson heard the yells and it just caused him to cry more. He got up and went back over to the couch, picking up his phone and calling his best friend, Ollie. "O-Ollie, come over p-please," he said in tears and Ollie said he would be over as soon as possible. Randson picked up a thick blanket and curled up on the couch in a cocoon, crying softly into the blanket.
-
Wynter quickly got ready. His hair was so long, that his boss demanded it be out in a ponytail so it didn't cover his face. He wrapped the little that was too long up and slipped into his work gear. Sighing at his appearance, he went downstairs for a pre-work snack.
-
The doorbell rang as soon as his boyfriend came down the steps and Randson just yelled come in, knowing it was Ollie. Ollie opened the door and ignored Wynter, gasping when he saw the shaking mess that was Randson curled up on the couch. "Rand, what's wrong?" He hurried over to the couch and sat down, pulling the little on to his chest. Randson didn't say anything, he just cried, and that was just fine with Ollie.
-
Wynter eyed the two and quickly finished eating. He put his plate in the sink and left without another word.
-
Randson croaked out his boyfriend's name before he left but he doubt he heard it, and if he did Wynter probably just ignored him. Randson cried harder as Ollie tried to comfort him, petting his hair and hugging him to his chest. It was quite comforting, and soon enough Randson was laying quietly on his best friend's chest, eyes red and puffy from crying and his eyes fresh out of tears. All that was heard was their breathing and the movie credits playing on the telly.
-
Wynter pushed all thoughts of home life from his mind and focused completely on work. He may not have liked it, but $35 an hour was hard to beat. It got the bills paid, anyway.
-
Randson asked if Ollie would stay the night but Ollie said he had work to get done. He was a few months older than Wynter and was a business man, investing in other companies. He got a lot of money out of the job, he told Randson. Randson sighed, wishing Ollie could stay, but just nodded. Soon he fell asleep laying on the older's chest, breathing softly. Ollie watched the telly while the little one slept.
