The line of vehicles were thinning, and Dylan was just about to go in when someone else pulled up. After a second, they got out, and he recognized them as the children from the pictures, and their father. He smiled, and waved. "Hey there. I'm Dylan Matthews. You're Blair, right? And you two must be Laila and Louis. Um.. You spoke with my sister, Brooklyn the other day, correct?" He gave the children a small smile before focusing his attention on the father, nodding at him. -
(My fault for not bookmarking it and losing it.)
Blair gave the man a small smile, nodding. "Yes, I did speak to Brooklyn a few days ago. Thank you for taking them on such short notice." Laila was already skipping around the man, grinning up at him. "I'm Laila! Will you be my friend, tall man?" Blair chuckled, giving Louis a small push towards the small building. "Here's Louis. He's a bit shy, I'm afriad." Louis frowned, moving to stand close to Dylan, but still a few feet away. "I'm late, but it was great meeting you." -
(It was a shared failure.)
"Alright. Well, you know what time to pick them up. Nice meeting you." He crouched down, smiling at them both. "Hi, Laila. Louis. I'm Dylan. My sister, Brooklyn is inside, and she's going to take you into the play room. You can play with other children, or, if you'd rather not, we have coloring books and crayons, and books. Just be nice and share. After I finish up here, I'll be inside." With that, he stood, and opened the door for them. From the hall, Brooklyn smiled and waved, calling them in.
