Star name: Alko'nost A and B (ALL-co-nost)
Main colony's planet name: Cerberi Dina (ser-ber-EE Dee-nah)
In the time of the early Enterprise missions when we as humans were new to the Galactic society , We humans found a star system with four planets that could possibly sustain life; One of them an Oceana Class, Two of them being Ice Giant Class, and one, last but not nearly least, a Terran Class planet seven and a half Earth masses large. It was difficult, but by getting used to the gravity over time, We were able to successfully build a major colony there, and smaller ones on the other planets. All seemed to have been going well when an accident happened on the major colony. Lack of supplies from the Terran planet caused the smaller colonies to die out. These problems made it possible that only a few survivors would make it back to Earth on small warpships put together, individually only capable of small trips between planets and the two star systems in which these colonies existed. As these survivors died out one by one, only stories and unprovable images and videos remained of the mission. These evidences were eventually considered as part of conspiracy theories, and thrown away. After over 200 years of not fully knowing what happened, We decided to go back to this colony to find out what REALLY happened, but when we got there, a hostile species culture had taken the area over, and we must negotiate with them to gt our old colony back, and find out what had happened. Who will live, and who will die? What actually happened? Will we get the colony back at all? These will be what this is leading up to. Idea partial credit to Star Trek Enterprise, but not complete.

Possible stupid question: you say the enterprise found this. So are we on the enterprise?
Also, how long do we start before the returning conflict?
