ARE YOU KITTEN ME
I'm in a writing mood, so here's a kinda-long response. Don't feel obligated to match my post size.
Beatrix was lounging around at one of the many local Starbucks, her feet up on the table and her free hand on her forehead. The Hopeless HQ hadn't sent her anything, and she didn't really have any work to do. The work she did paid her, and without work, how could she get something to do? Across from her was Oliver, and she knew he was in the same issue. Putting her hand down, she took her feet off the table, leaning in and setting her drink where her feet had been. "Ollie, aren't you so freaking bored just sitting there?" -
"Yeah," Ollie scoffed. "God. I hate our 'Days off'. I would rather be shoving my katana through somebody's chest right about now." Ollie sighed then sat back and sipped his coffee.
-
Landon pulled his black hood over his dark hair, peeking around the corner for about the hundredth time. He wasn't normally nervous about completing things his gang wanted done, especially when this was his idea, but Landon had never kidnapped someone before. He had spent at least an hour this morning just decided what to wear and finally decided on a black hoodie with white skinny jeans and black sneakers, perfect for running. Landon took a deep breath and turned the corner, glancing inside the Starbucks before opening the glass doors, looking for his target.
-
Ollie looked at Landon in suspicion. Deep down he knew something was wrong, but he ignored the feeling. He usually did this. Ollie set his cup down. "You about ready, B?" Ollie asked stretching his arms.
-
Beatrix was too busy drinking her coffee to pay much attention to her friend. She wasn't even planning on being bothered to pay attention to his response, even though she had asked him the question he answered. With a small grunt, she pulled the cup from her lips, licking the excess stuff off. "Ready to what, leave? Not really, I'm not done. You know me and my coffee. Give me a few more minutes. Sheesh, you're always so bouncy, Ollie."
-
Oliver smiled "Yeah. I know" Oliver said leaning in, whispering, "But, that guy over there in the hoodie, doesn't look too friendly, and personally, I don't wanna be here when crazy s--- goes down!"
-
Landon had to search for a moment before finding the two punks that were his target. Landon chewed on his lip, something he did quite often, trying to think of a plan. He should have made one before walking into the coffee shop, but Landon didn't really think of that. He took another deep breath and walked up to the table where the two were seated. "Hello, Beatrix and Oliver. There is a package outside with your names on it." He plastered a fake smile on his face.
-
Ollie gave an "I told you" look to Beatrix.
Oliver quickly responded "Bonjour monsieur. Je ne parle pas anglais" -
Beatrix was planning on ignoring her friend, but found herself being forced to listen as he whispered in her ear. Her eyes fluttered over to the man, who she watched as he walked over to them. He looked quite confused, and she wanted to scoff. As he got closer, she stood, smiling back. She caught the look Ollie gave her, and she almost wanted to flip him off. Ignoring what he had just said, she smiled at him, her hand going to her hips. "We don't work here, there would be no reason for such a thing to be sitting there. But, how about I go check, hm? Ollie, wait here." She nodded to him, and started off towards the door. She had her weapons in the car, if she could just get to them..
-
Ollie sat quietly, then looked at the man in the hoodie "comment allez-vous?"
-
Landon tilted his head, confused at the boy, but followed the girl. "I'm not sure why there is a package for you two, but I was told to deliver it. I'm sorry if I'm disturbing you on such a nice day." Landon thought of himself as an okay actor when I came to getting people to trust him.
-
Ollie zipped up his hoodie, and pulled over the hood covering his eyes. He crept up on the suspicious man.
-
Beatrix was quite irritated by the man, not wanting to deal with him. "Is there, huh? And who sent this package to you?" Now, she was sure he was giving her some real BS. From behind Landon, she heard Ollie, who clearly hadn't stayed. Then again, neither had the boy. "Rather.. What is your name?" She turned, tilting her head.
-
Landon heard the boy's not so quiet footsteps behind him, and hummed as he walked. "I don't know. And why does my name matter to you?" Without waiting for a response, Landon moved so he was behind the girl. He grabbed both of her arms and pulled them back towards him, staring at the boy.
