>=^] louis needs one moment

"Louis, you're going to support group," her stern tone stated, her eyes staring at the teenager laying stubbornly on the couch. His eyes were fixated on the television as One Tree Hill played. His mother had had quite enough, and so she stood in front of the screen, threatening to pull the plug. Louis scoffed, giving her an agressive glance that was not all that intimidating.
"I don't want to," he replied for the umpteenth time, pursing his lips sassily. This time around, his mother actually turned the television off, crossing her arms.
"You have to. This kind of behavior is associated with depression." Louis rolled his eyes when these words met his ears. He had heard this same statement a million times ever since he was been diagnosed. He pushed himself to a sitting position, running a hand through his hair and retorting,
"Why don't you just let me watch One Tree Hill? Hm?"
"Because support group is waiting." A grunt erupted from the back of his throat, exiting through his mouth. He cautiously came to a careful stand, as he had finally acquiesced to his mother's demand. He grabbed onto the handle of his oxygen tank, lazily sliding on a pair of slippers that he had left by the couch.
"Don't you want to dress in something other than pajamas?"
"No, I don't. Let's just gooo." His mother pointed at the oxygen tank witha worried eexpression.
"Do you want any help with that?" He dismissed this offer with a shake of his head. With this, the pair male the trek to the car, a mini-van that would allow Louis to be comfortable even with the bulky item that he had to drag around. The two made themselves comfortable in their usual spots, and the journey to the church began. -

"Harry, can you please come tonight?" Niall urged for the umpteenth time, his voice crackly but loud on the other end of the phone.
"I've never even been," he replied, but even as he said it, he was pulling on khaki shorts with the phone on his desk on speaker. "They're all going to expect me to say I have problems and they'll all try to make me vent."
"C'mon, I have to go all the time. The least you can do is go with me, just this once?" Harry groaned at this, sitting down on his bed. Niall could really drive a hard bargain, especially because Harry wouldn't be getting anything out of it but a thank you and maybe dinner at Niall's house.
He sighed, took the phone off speaker and put it to his ear. "You said you'll pick me up, right?" There was a little celebration full of thank you's on the other end, and while Niall was being grateful, Harry went up from his basement room to wait for Niall on his porch.
In a few minutes, there was Niall's car pulling up, with him in the passenger seat and his mum driving. Harry took the liberty of getting in the back, and after a obligatory thank you to Niall's mom and both Niall and Niall's mom thanking him for coming along, they were finally on their way to Harry's very first support group. -
Louis didn't say a word while his mother drove. He did not want to attend another support group, mainly due to the fact that over the course of time that he had spent going, he didn't feel as though he had gained anything from it. What was the point in going to pointless meetings? There was no reason except to make his parents feel satisfied that he seemed that he was trying to help himself. After all they had gone through with a son with cancer, it was the least he could do in repayment.
A few minutes before the meeting was scheduled to start, the car slowed to a stop in the parking lot of the church in which the support meetings were held. He huffed a breath from himself, taking a peek out of the window and toying with his oxygen tank for a moment. He bit down on his lip as his mother asked,
"Do you need anything before you go in?" He shook his head once again, unbuckling his seatbelt and stepping from the vehicle. He hauled the oxygen tank outside to join him. Once he closed his door, his mom rolled the window down.
"Have fun, sweetie! Enjoy, and try to meet a few people. Love youuu!" She blew him an invisible kiss, and he caught it, just to make her happy. He watched the car go off, and he turned, making his way to the doors of the church. -
The car ride was filled with chatter about random topics. Niall and his mother both managed to have the most upbeat of personalities, and an uncanny ability to make a topic out of anything. Harry also happened to have an ability; to answer with some kind of vague sentence. After a few weird looks and questionable agreements, the ride ended when they parked in front of the building.
He figured they'd arrived just in time, because Niall's mum started hurrying them along. "Go on, boys! Don't want you to be late, and you might just be already." Both of the boys opened their doors and hopped out, and made their way into the building.
Niall guided on the way down, and Harry didn't make a single argument over it. When they made it downstairs, the taller boy was greeted with the sight of a wide circle of what looked like lunch room styled chairs. Niall had him dragged to sit down beside him, and then, while Niall chattered to him, Harry waited for whatever it was that happened in these meetings to begin. -
Louis made his way through the main entrance, stepping towards the table that presented snacks and refreshments. He grabbed a single cookie, bringing it to his face to nibble on it before he would have to sit through the entire meeting. He sighed gently, trying to determine how this one would go. Would it be the same as usual, or would everything get a little switched up? He secretly hoped for the second choice.
He had gotten halfway through the cookie when he decided that it would most likely be a great idea to take his seat. He tossed the other half into the garbage can nearby. He plucked a napkin from the table, wiping the crumbs and cookie grease from his fongers. That, he threw away, as well. From the corner of his eye, we watched as different people took their seats in the uncomfortable plastic chairs.
He once again bit his lip, turning to take his own seat. -
Harry was just mindlessly looking around the room when he saw him- it took him a second for it to really register, but he did a double take and his eyes focused on the lad wearing pajamas. It wasn't who he'd thought it was, no ghost come to haunt him, but it'd really looked like a certain ex-boyfriend of his for all of five seconds. Once he really got a look at the guy, he realized he was entirely wrong, because the lad sitting across the circle was quite a lot more attractive.
Niall nudged him, because he apparently hadn't been listening, and Harry only gave him a short glance before he was looking across the circle again. Really, he thought he'd learned his lesson about falling in love with gorgeous cancer patients, but this guy looked great. And if he had any sort of good personality, then maybe Harry might give him a hello. But for then, he just sat there like a class A weirdo and stared at him. -
When Louis had grabbed ahold of his chair, his eyes came to see a boy staring across the way, and straight at him. He glanced behind himself to be sure, and he gasped. He recalled that he was wearing pajamas, and he certainly did not appear to be a handful of sunshine. In fact, I look terrible! The boy was suddenly feeling very regretful that he had refrained from wearing proper clothing. He grimaced, and forced himself to make eye contact with the male.
And so that was when he decided to take a seat. He made an unpleasant face when he felt how the chair made contact with his rear-end. After squinting for a few moments, he regained his posture, surveying the area for a clock. The meeting would take off at any minute, by then. And then, even though he had only been focusing on the time, he found himself looking back over at the dark-haired male. -
Niall had already seemed to have wondered off in talk again, not even bothering to wonder whether or not his friend was still listening. While Niall went right on talking, Harry kept right on staring. He caught the boy's eyes for a moment, and even though it was a distance away and it was only a second, he could see that he simply had the most gorgeous eyes in the world.
Even if he couldn't tell what color they were quite yet.
When the other looked away, Harry contemplated the fact that he may have seemed creepy and he should look away. On the other hand, he wasn't the type of person to disallow himself of such simple pleasures as looking at a beautiful person. When they met eyes again, Harry made no move to look away. -

After a few seconds of mental debate, Louis came to the conclusion that he had no choice but to stare back with his blue-green eyes. He made a mental note of how attractive his staring-contest partner was. In the background, he could hear a little bit of chatter, which meant that the meeting had begun. He was not so bent on paying attention to anything just yet, however. The battle at hand was what he was focused on.
As he stared, he wondered just why such a handsome boy was looking to him, off all people. He was sure that some of the other patients at least had come in regular clothing. One of his hand touched the flannel pajama pants that he had put on the night before, and he almost chuckled. He kept his composure for the sake of not looking away. -
It was a good minute before Harry even thought to look away. Niall had stopped talking, and now someone else was, which made Harry think that the other guy had gotten Niall quiet which must mean that the meeting had started.
Blue. No, green, he decided, gazing deeply at the other boy's eyes. Actually, as he thought about it, his eyes were both blue and green all swirled together and beautiful. Eventually, Harry decided it was time to look away, because he didn't want to miss any of the meeting and get Niall upset. The staring contest ended with Harry giving a half of a smile, glancing down at his hands folded in his lap, then looking back to the side of the chair circle where a guy was talking about- losing his balls? Yes, losing his balls to cancer. What a fabulous story. -
Louis sighed with triumph, as he had won the contest with flying colors. He grinned gently, and then put his attention to (omg) Paul, who was explaining his story about having lost his balls. Louis had heard this same tale thousands of times, at nearly every meeting, and so he was only slightly exasperated with the group leader. He swallowed heavily as Paul searched around the room for someone to kick off the introductions. His eyes squinted, and eventually, he pointed directly at Niall.
"Why don't you start us off for today? I know that you've got a lot of troubling times coming your way." Louis glanced over at Niall, and waited for him to hopefully speak so that no one else had to start first. It was the times when people refused to answer that really annoyed him, because that would drag the meetings on for a bit too long.
