Her vision swam in and out of focus as one of the paramedics came by her with electric paddles. Her breathing sped at the blurred sight. A couple of police cars came by, one of the police men running out to handcuff her mother. Everything happened so fast, Amber couldn't keep up. She felt the moment as she blacked out, still alive though. Next time she awoke, she was in the ambulance, be drove to the hospital, her dad by her side. "Dad..." She whispered. The feeling she had now was like her life hanging by a thread. He had his head in his hands, face red. She blinked rapidly, looking down at the I.V tubes in her arm. Blood slipped from her abdomen by the second.

Salem continued to feel the intense electric pulses through his body, which he had never felt this strong before. He was practically being taken down to his knees, as she was being taken to the hospital. It was when she finally made it to the hospital, that he decided to teleport to where she was. Slowly he closed his eyes and thought hard about her surroundings. It wasn't long before he was there in the back of the room. His pale, white eyes looked at her as he watched in horror. He didn't care if she saw him now, because he knew that soon, he might see her on the other side.
-
Everyone rushed around her, a paramedic pushing the stretcher, her dad still in his suite by her side, nurses asking him questions. She could feel her last breathes coming. Amber knew that this would be it. A doctor yelled something to a nurse as he held the electric paddles in his hands. For a moment her vision became clear once more, her eyes darted around, but what caught her attention was a boy by the back of the room. He gave her a familiar feeling, as if she knew him, but she couldn't recall where. Bliss took over her senses, telling her that was it. She closed her eyes and gave her last breath.

Salem watched with a hint of sadness in his eyes, which he told himself was from the fact that he had failed, but he knew there was something more. The connection with her was finally lost, as she slipped away into the human after life. He knew that he would never again feel that connection or see her ever again. As a few moments passed by, and he watched the doctors trying to bring her back to life, a soft sigh escaped his lips, while he hung his head. It was in that moment, that he suddenly felt the connection again. He supposed that even in death their connection remained. Though he felt this wasn't supposed to happen.

She opened her eyes to an all white waiting room. Other people, mostly elders, we're in there, occuping other seats. She looked down to find white shorts and a plain white V-neck. She tried to ask a question as to were she was, but the words would simply not Form on her mouth. A lady sat at the end of the room, probably doing paper work. She called out a name, "Robert Castillo." One of the older men stood up and walked over to the desk, and began speaking to her in a worried tone.

Salem knew that she would probably be taken to where all other humans go after they die, but he wasn't exactly sure where. Just as he was about to attempt to teleport to her, he felt himself being ripped out of the human world. Within a few seconds, he was standing in front of his scowling boss. Harshly Salem bit the inside of his lip, as he felt like he was going to be fired. What came next though, he didn't expect.
"You need to protect her, Amber. You need to find her and protect her. Things are different with her. If you don't want her to vanish from existence, find her," his boss said to him firmly. Salem only looked at his boss in shock, as he had no idea what to say. Who was after her? Why? What made things different with her? Before he got a chance to ask these questions, he was standing outside the office of the building that the newcomers came in. -
After what felt like hours, but was really boring minutes, her name was called. "Amber Kinsley." She looked up from the floor, and went to the desk. "So, you're seventeen, got stabbed from your mother... Yada-yada-ya now you're here." She nodded, "What is this place, is it heaven?" The lady looked up from her glasses. "I guess you could call it that." She narrowed her eyes at another page. "Some one should come and get you in a few minutes, so I would just sit back and wait in your chair for a few." Amber let out a soft sigh, and sat in her chair.
