Justin hid his face within his hoodie to calm his furious blushing and embarrassment. Once he pulled in many breaths, he was completely collected, and reappeared. He watched the screen, contemplating an answer to her statement. "All I know is that I totally suck as these stupid games." Brett and Garrett lifted their heads, nodding in nothing but agreement. Garrett, always being the defensive boy of the pack, stated kindly, "But maybe you'll eventually get better. it's okay to suck for the first two years of Call of Duty. Brett did, I did, my brother did. It's all in how fast you pick up the skills, ya know?" Justin shrugged, smiling slightly.

Neilia yawned a little as the match was starting. The count down showed up on the screen as everything was black and white, but was soon turning into color. "Yeah, what Garrett said," she stated, a small smirk playing on her lips. "Alright, watch me fail fellas." The match started and Neilia was off running around the deserted place of Yemen. Cars where everywhere and she couldn't help but randomly shoot them to blow them up as if she was some eight year old playing. She knew she was wasting her ammo, but she really didn't care. "Alright, where are you guys?" she questioned.
-
Justin watched this with the famous, goofy grin of his. He always enjoyed seeing Neilia learn new things. It was somewhat intriguing to see someone so close to his heart grow even if it were under the circumstances of a video game. Garrett sighed, "We're actually against you, in this. I don't think you'd want us to know where you are. That's why the screen is split into three. No screen watching, either. I call that cheating." He clicked a few buttons, and his gun was aimed at the horizon, where the bots usually came from. Since all three of them were on a different team, he had to be on guard.
-
"Dammit," Neilia explained in a childish voice, but a big smile was on her face as she entered a building which had Brett inside. "Peek-a-boo," she stated while shooting at Brett. The first three times she had missed him, but since she had a fully-automatic weapon she was easily able to make up for those first few shots while shooting him randomly in the back and neck area. She laughed a little as she ran out of the now abandoned building, but she ran into the doorway a few times while doing so. "That was totally smooth, right?" she questioned sarcastically.
-
Brett's character fell to the floor in a heap, the countdown to respawn going off. His eyes bulged. "Damnnn, Neilia, that was sick!" His voice was bubbly and ecstatic. Justin was utterly amazed, his jaw dropping very slightly. He couldn't believe his eyes. He hadn't expect her to get a kill so right off of the bat, and so he dreamily watched her play. He knew he would have to leave soon, however, so he figured he would go at the end of the round.
-
"No, that was just l-" Neilia said, but she couldn't even finish her sentence before she rounded a corner and ran into a bot which, of course, shot her and killed her. "Luck," Neilia finished, her voice dropping to a low monotone type voice. "Dammit bot! I shall find you!," she said with a laugh as she popped up in some different location on the other side of the map. Before she started running, Neilia turned her head and looked over at Justin, that cute, small smile playing on her lips. "See? Not everyone is good at this stuff," she said while turning back to the screen and running to some random place she didn't know.
-
"Yes, but you are obviously doing better than me," he complimented, standing up to grab a bottle of water from the kitchen before he would decide to leave. His legs guided him to his desired location, his arms stretching his back out after sitting for so long. His eyebrows knitted together, his eyes growing slightly dull due the tiredness he was feeling. Another thing that he decided to do was check his scar in the mirror by the refrigerator. He examined the long mark, running his fingers over it. His lips pursed at the sight, but he only shrugged.
-
Neilia's smile widened when Justin complemented her and she began to run back into the building she was at before when she shot Brett. She thought that maybe she could hide behind a door or something like that. Whenever she got the chance, she glanced over at Justin who was walking over to the kitchen, but that only ended up getting her killed by some stupid grenade that a bot threw into the room. "God dammit. Stupid ass bots," she muttered with a smirk. "I still have to find that bot that shot me too and kill him."

please excuse my late replies
Even though Justin had been extremely happy before, that ugly, jagged scar was always enough to send him through a deep spiral of emotions. He hated it, and would do anything to get rid of it, but he would never outwardly say that. He itched the scar, going to the fridge and yanked a freezing bottle of water from it. Cracking the cap, he took a few long, drawn out sips, heading back into the room. He took his seat back, examining all three of the player's screens and dreaming up ways that would get them to where they needed to be and that would complete their objectives. -
Tis fine. I'm searching up Meme's to pass time ^~^
Soon enough, the fifteen minutes for the match was over. With a yawn, Neilia set the controller on the ground and stood up to stretch. In several spots in her back she could feel her spine popping which hurt yet felt good at the same time. She turned and walked over to Justin, who was sitting down in the bean bag, and she carefully sat in his lap. "Mm, what time is it?" she questioned with another yawn. Slowly, she leaned her head back on his shoulder and looked over towards the TV where one of her friends, Clare, was taking her spot. -
that's always a fun time
Justin gave a quick glance to his watch. "12:47, which I think is a good time to get going. My parents will be home soon, and I don't think they'd be happy to see that we aren't really there. SO, I suggest we leave now to avoid less punishment later?" This idea was very logical, since he had constantly reminded her that they had to leave at a suitable yet fitting time, which then was a very good one. Since it would be a twenty to thirty minute walk, and the parents were expected home within an hour or so, he felt the need to hurry. -
Apparently a guy in the 19something dressed up as the Grim Reaper in LA and was arrested because he was standing outside of old people's houses.
Neilia forced herself not to yawn that time and she nodded her head while slowly standing up, grabbing Justin's hand in the process. "You should carry me," she joked while rubbing her thumb over her knuckles. She then closed her eyes and sighed a little. It was clear that she was really tired and was ready for sleep whenever they got home. A little pit of worry settled in Neilia's stomach when she realized that they'd be walking home in the dark. She took a deep breath as her heart started to race a little to try and remind herself that the chances of being hurt while Justin was around her was very little and very unlikely. -
honestly that is genius
"I would but I'm afraid I'll drop you and mess up that pretty face of yours," he admitted in a whisper. He then made the announcement that they would be making their leave. Brett, Garrett, and the others waved politely. Justin looked to Neilia, gesturing to walk as he took a few steps forward. "I'm kind of hoping that they're showing recaps of the Dallas and Green Bay game. I need to know the score." He said this without assuming that Neilia knew what he was talking about, but he did it in a way that made football seem a little more important than it really was. -
I laughed for so long.
With an odd expression on her face, Neilia looked at Justin and walked forwards as he started to talk about football, something that she hardly knew anything about. "Yeah, me too?" she said very unsure as the two of them headed out the door. A laugh escaped her lips after she made that statement and she looked around the dark yard, her eyes trying to adjust to the darkness. -
i wanna do it with me
Justin closed the door gently once he and Neilia exited the home. He pulled in the crisp nighttime air, holding onto his girlfriend's hand just a little tighter. This was not due to himself being scared or anything of those sorts. It was mainly him giving a reassuring squeeze to signal that no matter what, Justin would be right there to make sure they arrived home safely.
