He was quiet for a moment. "Janette, look at me. I want you to tell me what's wrong, and what I should do to help. I know this is big for you.." He sighed, slowing his walking pace. What could have possibly be worrying her?
-
"I just.. Two, Philip. I've never been a mother before. I don't know how to handle one child, let alone two," She explained, running a hand though her hair, before turning to give him a weak smile. "It'll be alright, though. Don't worry."
-
"But I know you can handle a child. Your soft demeanor proves that. And just think, I can settle down somewhere with you, give the ship to Eric, and everything will be fine. You're not alone because even though I've never had any experiences of my own, I've seen people through out the years." He gulped at the memories. "You won't be alone."
-
"Actually, about the giving the ship to Eric thing.." Janette swallowed, giving Philip a thin smile. "Let's keep it. Let's raise our children at sea. The oceans a beautiful place, with plenty to offer. And, anyways, I don't like to stay stuck in one place anymore." It was a crazy idea, but it was what she wanted.
-
Philip gave her a smile with a hint of worry. "While I say that's a fantastic idea, the main thing I'm concerned about is storms and other pirates. I haven't been through a violent storm in almost two years, but it could happen. As for pirates, I just couldn't risk them attacking our ship, and possibly doing something to you or the kids. But if that's what you have you heart set on, I'll give it to you."
-
"I think that's what makes it exciting, you know. The risk.. It's like, an adrenaline rush every single day. You never know what's going to happen. Kind of like being in love with you," She joked, pressing a kiss to his lips. Janette took the hand that she held, placing it on her stomach. "Anyways, what better place to raise a future pirate than on a pirate ship?" She had grown to love that way of life, and knew that Philip loved it to. There was no way she would may him leave it for her.
-
"Then it's settled, we'll stay at sea." With his hand placed at her stomach gave him slight shivers. "Would you like to go to the farmers market? I'll get you anything you want. Even sweets." He smiled with a wink.
-
"Mm.. Let's go to the market. I think we need some stuff, anyways," She muttered, gladly taking his hand back in hers.
-
Philip gave her hand a squeeze, approaching the farmers market. He started glancing over the items, mentally thinking of a list foods to get. He grabbed two blocks of cheese. "And after this we can head down to the bakery." He suggested.
-
"Mhm," Janette mumbled, staring at the food. After a few seconds of thought, her appetite faded completely. "Why don't you just pick some things? I'm actually not very hungry. I might go back to the ship.."
-
(;w; crap I missed this completely)
Philip looked back at her, wearing a worried expression. "Okay, just be careful, please." He decided it was best he let her be. "And if you need to talk to me, I'll be either here, the bakery, or I'll meet you on the ship." -
(That's okay doll)
"I'm just going to lay down. A little sleepy, that's all. Don't worry." She pressed a kiss to his lips, before heading back to the ship. Janette took out her key to the captain's cabin, unlocked it, and slipped inside. -
Philip returned the kiss, then began picking out more food and a basket to hold it. After he paid, he went to the bakery and gathered some bread and some pastries for Janette. When he arrived to the ship, he gave the food to Matilda to take care of, and went to his cabin. "You alright?"
-
Janette hadn't been able to sleep, and when Philip came in, she was sitting silently on the edge of the bed. "It's just," She started to reply, twisting her hands together, "What if something happens? If something goes wrong? What if it happens again?"
