IT ME CAPTAIN EM
Name: Wilbur (Will) Drummond
Age: 22, but aging is much slower, almost to the point of stopping completely, when outside one's own natural timeline
Appearance: Black, almost uncontrollable hair (hiro from bh6 is first one with that hairstyle that comes to mind)/olive skin/greyish brown eyes/tall/slim, not very muscular/a few scars on back and arms from adventures/constantly wearing travel gear/needs reading glasses
Other: Will hates his full name, and pretty much refuses to share it. He barely passed the tests that allow him to legally time travel, so what would seem obvious to another traveler is a brilliant revelation to him. He's awkward, though tries his best to remain professional. He's omnisexual and romantic, though rarely experiences either attraction. His traveler ID is no.63001 and he was born about 3,000 years after this story takes place. -

I shall start sooooon.

Okay.

I can start.
Sometimes it screwed up. There would be a short flicker on the screen, in which nothing could be seen, and he would be dropped a few miles away from, or a few days before his desired destination. Sometimes, he could fix it and it would instantly send him where he wanted to be, and other times, while it was inconvenient, he simply had to wait for the little band to charge. These were all manageable, and if anything went wrong, he knew someone who'd once had a similar problem, making it easy for him to fix on his own. This time, it was different.
Will fell onto a hard surface, spit out of midair in a bright blue blast. Once it faded, the area around him was dark and quiet. He noticed a faint light, the same shade of blue, glowing at the edge of his peripheral vision. A painted gasp was choked in his throat as he realized it was the time traveling extension of the band, shorting out and burning his skin in the process. It detached and fell onto the floor, and he reached out his foot to stomp out the last of the sparks. As he patted the surface beneath him, he noticed it was wood, and was glad the ting extension didn't light the entire space aflame. He scooted back and found himself up against more wood, likely a barrel. He sat as he collected himself, and tried to ignore the sudden sickness riding in his chest. He was definitely on a boat. -
Emery loved storms. It was strange, really, but he liked the rush of adrenaline they provided. He liked the thrill of being on the edge of death, knowing that, at any moment, his ship could be capsized, and he and everything he had worked hard for would sink to the ocean floor. He absolutely loved it. His crew, however, dislike the fact that he seemed to take the warnings of storms with a smile. Not all of them were as dedicated as Emery was.
This storm was a bit different, though- There was lightning, and lots of it, but none close to the ship. The thunder was there, right above them, but it wasn't the kind of thunder that vibrated the water. It seemed to stay in the clouds. And though the sea was licking the side of the ship with vigor, they weren't close to what he normally had to deal with. In short, the pirate was rather disappointed.
He had just turned to go back to his cabin when a boy fell from the sky. Some of his crew verbalized their confusion, but Emery just furrowed his brow, and watched as the man stomped out the fire that would have been likely put out by the rain. -
As he became more aware of the surroundings past the barrel and his feet, he swore he could hear others on the ship. Will could feel raindrops landing and rolling off of the clothing shield the band created around his body. He reached toward the thin object around his wrist and tapped it, causing a shield to appear over his head. The time traveler wasn't interested in anyone on the ship, though based on the rising sickness, he'd have to get up and interact eventually.
