In ten years of working for the Damask Circle, shapeshifter C1 has never come across anything that goes after kids the way this monster does, and s/he has never met anything that does to them what this thing does. And its not something s/he wants to confront. But with the Circles resources stretched to the limits, s/hes given very little choice. The last thing s/he needs is interference from a cop who has no idea what s/hes up against.
C2s niece is one of the missing children and s/he has every intention of not only defying the odds and bringing her back alive, but of catching the monster behind these kidnappings and bringing her to justice. Even if he has to break every law in the country to do it. And s/he's willing to use anyone and everyone to achieve those aims--even a crazy woman who claims to be a witch.
Forced to join forces, C2 and C1 are drawn to each other, but fight their feelings as they struggle to uncover clues that will lead them to the monsters lair and battle a seemingly endless supply of zombies and other dead things determined to stop them. But time is ticking away and both know the monster behind these kidnappings rarely keeps her victims alive for more than seven days. And four of those have already gone.
But the greatest threat to C1 might not come from the forces of darkness gathering around them, but from the person s/he is beginning to love.
Because C2 is a werewolf...and the full moon is rising.. -

Abaddon never thought that she'd been caught, well she wasn't technically caught.. Well she guessed the only reason for that was Selein,the leader of the Damask Circle "Bloodly ol' witch." she mumbled. Abaddon flinched as the paramedic wrapped her arm to tight with the bandages, "Hey watch it that hurt!" She snapped with a growl. She could not believe that that stupid witch placed a bomb down when they were fighting so she could escape, the ringing was still in her ears and head still pounded. A man in a police uniform walked over to her, a couple of them'd been arguing which one would talk to her,
"Okay, Ms. Ryner why were you here?"
"Don't have to tell you." She said like a child,
"You're with holding information.." He said angrily, Abaddon ripped her hand away from the paramedic, pushed the officer aside and started to walk away,
"I'm going home, come by if you'd like." She said with a sigh, she called it home but she was staying there for the case, so it was a temp home. -
