You start? Or shall I?

I feel like I probably made you start the other one so I'll start)
Nine months. Christian was still trying to process that fact. Less than a year. He shook his head and sighed. Less than a year, and he would spend it cooped up in a hospital, surrounding by grumpy doctors and falsely cheery nurses, telling him it was going to be okay. It wasn't. He hadn't spoken to his family for almost a week now. As soon as he'd found out about the tumor, he'd shut himself off. The occasional call was made, but the boy stubbornly refused to let his family watch him die. He struggled to find anything good in his life at the moment, which was definitely putting a damper on his normal happy attitude. -
Kenneth wasn't having a good day. Not at all. First off, his favorite kid had left the hospital- It would have been one thing if they had left because they had gotten better, but her parents had simply decided to stop treatment. Another thing, his rounds for the little girl were replaced with the name of of a boy he had never seen, let alone heard of before. Kenneth sighed, and put on a smile, finding his way to the boy's room. He knocked on the closed door, humming out a soft, "Christian?"
-
Christian glanced up with a small frown, hoping there wouldn't be any needles involved in whatever they were going to do him next. "Yeah," He called, letting whoever was outside the door know that he was awake. Hopefully it wasn't another super-perky nurse. You could tell they didn't really want to be there, but they were getting payed to smile.
-
The man opened the door, slipping into the room. He twisted the stone on his left ear, sighing softly. The boy was hardly an adult- Not even. He was young. So, so young. Kenneth bit his lip. "Anything you need? I'm Kenneth. I work evenings, and yeah. I'm your new nurse."
-
Christian blinked in surprise. This guy actually looked fairly normal. And he had some cool piercings. He smiled slightly and shook his head. "No, I'm fine. But," He bit his lip and hesitated, hoping the answer wouldn't be another 'we're not sure'. "Do you know when I can go back home?"
-
Kenneth sighed again, shaking his head. "I can ask, but I'm afraid you probably wont be able to for a while. Your condition is rather troubling, and we wouldn't want you to go home and then, like, I dunno. Spazz out and break your neck falling down the stairs."
-
The boy sighed. "Okay. Thanks." He laughed softly at Kenneth's last comment. "Yeah, that would be bad. I'm just getting kind of sick of it here. No offense." He glanced around and wrinkled his nose. "Everything smells like chemicals."
-
"Hospitals normally have that sent. I can get ou some scented candles," He teased, smiling softly. He played with his earring, looking the boy up and down. "Have you considered a live-in nurse?"
-
Christian shook his head. "I guess I've never really thought about it. But my apartment's so small I doubt that would work out very well anyway." He replied.
-
*scent
"You should look into it if you really wanna get out of here that bad." His smile fell away, and he knew what he was about to say was a bad, bad idea, but he did it anyways. "Or, you can live with a live-in nurse. My house is pretty big."
(Changing small detail. Christian is gonna come live with him.) -
okie actually I must've read the plot wrong because I thought that's what was gonna happen oops)
Christian stared at Kenneth. He seemed nice enough, and he was offering the get him away from the chemical scented beds and needles, so he had no reason to say no. "If it's allowed, I'd love to go stay with you." He answered after a moment. -
(OH WELL IT WORKED OUT)
"I'll talk to the doctor," He paused, inhaling a bit through his nose. This kid might be alright after all, but he was really taking a risk here. "Um. Do you like dogs?" -
YAY)
Christian nodded eagerly. "I love dogs." He'd had a dog, a big German Shepard, but once they'd found the tumor, he'd had to get rid of her. His treatments took up too much fine, and the doctors informed him that it would be 'too much work' to keep taking care of her. -
(PARTY AT KENNETH'S HOUSE)
Kenneth grinned, glad to hear that. "I have two huskies. They're pretty hyper." It was an understatement. His dogs were insanely full of energy. "Look, let me go talk to your doctor, and I'll see what I can do." He stood up, about to leave.
