It's World War II, the world is in chaos. C1 is a young American fighter pilot, dragged into the war- not by choice. He's frightened and untrained, and on the fleet's first mission he's shot down and captured. C1 is dragged to the nearest German encampment. He's tossed in cell, and he hopes that'll be the worst of. He's dead wrong. In the middle of the night, C1 is forced out of his cell and into an interrogation room, where he's tortured for information.
C2 is a German officer working in the camps. He doesn't know much about the war itself, he simply knows he is there to serve his country. But when he is forced to watch the torture of a newly arrived prisoner (C1), he finally realizes the true horrors of the war. C2 decides to help C1 escape, even though it could mean treason, and, if he is caught, death. -
