Shadow's body twitched a few times, but other than that, was irresponsive. Her wounds were bloody, and because of her black eye, she wouldn't be able to see when she woke up.

Mephiles took Jack's book and used one of the spells to heal Shadow. He couldn't heal Shadow's black eye though.

Shadow sat up, moaning. That's when she realized all she saw was black. No one knew about her blind eye, so she tried not to freak out. Had her other eye turned blind too?!

Mephiles said "Don't worry. You'll be fine, even though with that black eye and your blind one you are completely blind. But don't worry, your eye will heal in a few weeks."

"Wait..how do you know about my blind eye?" Shadow asked, coughing.

"I noticed with your eye color on your right eye. It was faded. My grandpa was blind so I noticed by remembering him." he said.

"Yeah, but, even before the failed experiment, I was double eye colored.." She gulped, shaking.

"Oh didn't know that. But like I said just keep calm. I'll be your seeing eye hedgehog." said Mephiles.

Shadow nodded, but was still shaking a bit. She clasped her hands together blindly.

Mephiles put the Negatives back into their portals and the robots into the recycling chute. Little did he know that Metal Mephiles was still online and was plotting revenge. "Now just take my hand and I'll take you to your room." he said.

Shadow searched around for his hand, her legs wobbly as she stood up. This went against any instinct she had.

Mephiles grabbed her hand and walked her to her room and into her bed. He left and said "Good night, honey."

"A-alright." She tossed and turned, trying to find a comfortable way to sleep.

Mephiles went to his and Jack's room and went to bed with Jack.

Shadow found sleep after around an hour.
