Well, there are wolf people, well wolves that have a second slightly more humanoid form, well a wolf from a random pack notice a mysterious lone wolf ( my character ) and gets curious about him, and it could go on from there, you could add romance if you want

Oh, and the wolves could be unnatural if you want, like having odd colors or kind of hybrids of creatures like dragons...
Ooh! Actually maybe each could have their own element or power
And also speak, also they are able to have stuff like horns or whatever -
