Nathan was running a bit late, having had a long conversation with Mr. Lonin. Back to his normal self for some time, he was now at his locker, grabbing his backpack and starting to leave the school.
-
Austin sat on the bench, crossing legs and tapping while he waited.
-
As soon as he left the school, he walked over to the bench, where he saw that Austin already was. He gave a slight wave, standing in front of him, a few steps back, anyway.
-
Austin waved back halfheartedly. The pinkish haired teen stood up and began walking to the direction of his house. "Follow me."
-
Nathan followed him, watching the sidewalk pass under his feet. He kept trying to think of a conversation starter, but couldn't, so he he stopped that.
-
It wasn't too far from the school. But it'd still be about a fifteen minute rock.
The silence was killer, but it was something he's use to. -
fifteen minute rock
it's not a boulder,
it's a rock. ;-;
Nathan finally thought of something, which he guessed was okay, "What is your favorite band?" he asked, his voice wondering and quiet. -
XDDD WALK*
I'm tired shh))
"Lincoln Park." He answered quickly. He began to get skeptical again. His personality seemed different from what it was in music class. -
The pioneers used to ride those babies for miles, though. :O
Nathan let out an 'oohhh'. "Yeah, they are good," he agreed, walking along. He messed with his backpack straps. -
That reference))
They were almost there. Austin stopped in his tracks and looked back at the older, taller gentlemen.
"You're acting weird again." -
Wambam, amaze. :P
i like how it says taller but he is literally only one inch taller than him xD it's true but so close to not being true that i find it funny.
Nathan stared at him, a perplexed expression crawling across his face and settling. "What?" he asked, tilting his head just a bit. -
xDD))
"...... Your'e quiet and awkward again. In music class you were an outgoing douche." -
:33
This actually kind of hurt his feelings. He knew what he was talking about, as he'd lived with it for two years, but there was no way he was telling that to the guy. "Sorry." -
His shoulders slumped a bit and he sighed. "I-it's okay..." He walked up the steps and on to the porch of his tanned house. He unlocked it with his key and opened the door for Nathan. The inside smelt similar to strawberries and everything was neat.
-
Nathan stepped inside, thanking him. He only took a few steps in, looking around. He did enjoy the smell of the house, and smiled a bit.
It's too neat. That bothers me. I'll screw the place up in a while, the little voice of Oliver said in the back of his head.
"Nooo, you won't," Nathan said out loud.
