He swore he'd seen the telephone wire.
However, as he lifted himself up from the crumbling mess outside of the house he'd hit, he wondered how he'd managed to entangle himself in it and plummet down, then make as much noise as he did and not be discovered. Damien checked himself for cuts and found a couple, as well as quite a few tender spots that would become bruises within the next few hours. Something was definitely wrong with one of his wings, since it didn't fold in painlessly like the other. It wasn't broken, that he could tell. He stumbled away from the pile of... whatever it had been before, probably a shed, and made his way toward one of the houses. -
Momoiro heard a noise outside, and stopped her song again, standing up and walking toward the door again nervously.
She couldn't see very far into the garden, but she knew she heard a noise. She refrained from going outside and investigating out of fear. -
Black Cat was just a little irritated by the time she'd gotten out of her little town. The world around her had been bent and manipulated to the will of a bunch of frivolous children, and with no sense of art or harmony, the makings clashed and ground on one other in an ugly way. She took in a deep breath, fixing the ugly scars on the world as she went, and before she consciously realized it, she had entered a completely different town. It was quiet as well, the houses spaced apart nicely. She looked around and swore under her breath. She had no idea where she was.
-
The house was much bigger than it had looked, almost to the point that it could be called a mansion. He knocked on the door, then leaned on the house, trying not to use the arm that would pull a bit on his injured wing.

Momo heard the knock on the door. Her eyes widened, but she took a breath and sighed, calming down.
She had no need to be afraid. This was her reality. And her reality was peaceful.
She walked down the hall to the front door, and unlocked it, opening it just a crack to peek outside. -
((I'm always starting in a weird place and then having to come find people. Dx I really need to learn to pick up on cues.))
She sighed, bored, and wondered if this town was inhabited at all. Why hadn't she seen anyone yet? Had she strayed into someone else's claimed territory? Furthermore, what in the hell was that sound? An uncomfortable buzzing was growing gradually louder with each forward step.
She considered making a loud and theatrical introduction. What words would she use for that, though? Was Black Cat an intimidating enough name? Would it strike fear into the hearts of those who heard it? These were the real questions. -
"Hey," he murmured. "I, uh, I crashed a bit ago, you probably heard me, and I think I dislocated my wing. Could you help me?" The battered boy gave her a pained smile, trying not to look threatening in the slightest. "Please?"

((I'm actually really irritated about this. I put a lot of thought into this plot.))
