He knew his surroundings. He could sense them. Plus, for some reason they just seemed so vivid in his mind.
Even unborn, Ryuune knew his home.
The land sloped downward in the forest, at a point where it split from the land next to it. A crevice in the land, probably once where a deep stream had been. Now it made a nice cavern.
in this cavern, deep in the back, where no one would even notice, sat a stone. The stone blocked the entrance to a small cave. And inside this cave, sat the chest.
Ryuune felt safe here. In his home. -
Once her drunken Uncle was satisfied with his rant he waddled off to his room and slammed the door shut. Savanna jumped up and quickly set to work. Once in her room she undressed from her stupid simple blue dress and put on tight pants, simple black boots, a white cotton button up shirt, and her old tattered dark black cloak. Flicking the hood over her head she slid out her bedroom window and landed on the ground with a soft thud. Savanna looked at the woods, creepy at night to most, forbidden to all, but a home for her. Smiling slightly she walked past the barn where they held a few cows, two old horses, and next to that a coop with some chickens. A soft bark let her know that Jax was right behind her. "Come on boy.. Let's go explore." The dog wagged his tail in agreement and together the pair started to walk towards the ominous forest.

A deer grazed nearby the crevice. A rabbit was close by in some bushes, as well. The whole area was full of life.
Ryuune wished to experience life. -
Savanna found her hidden bow and sling of arrows. Grabbing them quickly she and her dog dipped down the hill and deeper into the woods. She knew the woods only to the canyon where she didn't go down or across. Sighing softly she stopped, seeing a rabbit. Smirking she let the arrow fly and hit her target with a solid thud. "He might say I'm useless but I'm the reason why he's still well fed." She rolled her eyes and she took her rabbit and thanked it for it's lfe.

Another being soon infiltrated his range of consciousness. This one was different than the others.
Human..? -
Stuffing the rabbit into her sack she continued her journey and got two more rabbits before stopping at the edge of the canyon. Jax grunted and panted heavily, leaning against his owners leg as he looked up at her with adoration. Savanna frowned and looked down at the canyon, something always seemed to call her down there but she was always too scared to do it.

Ryuune grew excited. The egg inside the chest grew warmer at the approach of the girl.
He wished she'd come closer. Maybe today. -
Suddenly she let out a piercing shreak as she hit loose rock and went sliding down the side of the canyon. Rocks, roots, whatever could get to her scratched at her skin and body. Yelling and grabbing at whatever she could her hands became bloody and soon she came to a stop at the bottom near a cave. Panting heavily she looked up to see Jax barking at her. "I-I'm fine boy! Be quit!"

Ryuune grew more excited, sensing her come nearer.
A little closer. Come on! Come open the chest!
His consciousness begged selfishly, not giving any thought to her injuries. -
Slowly Savanna stood and looked at the cave. She swallowed audibly out took a step towards it. She blinked slowly and felt herself being called to the cave. "H-hello?" She called softly at first but then more loudly. "Anyone in there?" She walked inside and was consumed by darkness.

Ryuune's egg glowed faintly inside the chest, the closer she got. A little of the light seeped out of the corners.

The cave seemed to light up slighty and she frowned, almost running into a huge bolder. Leaning closer she sucked in a breath, the bolder was a statue. A statue of a crying dragon. "Woah.." She whispered softly as she ran her finger tips over the detailed scales. As she explored she came to it's head wear a tear was trapped bellow it's closed eye. At the end of the stone dragons snout was a gold chest.

A little more. He impatiently waited for her. She was taking so long, too long, in his opinion.

Savanna dropped to her knees with a thud and a frown. "What's this..?" Her fingers ran over the golden dragon body that was protecting whatever was inside. She sighed quietly and yelped when her finger got pricked by the tooth of the dragon head. Her blood rolled down her skin and plopped onto the chest. The dragons eyes flew open and she didn't see it but her eyes flashed the color of the dragon inside.

A click was heard as the chest unlocked. The light inside grew brighter with Ryuune's newfound freedom. Well, sort of freedom. After all, he was still an egg.
