It's Reaping Day. I just got back from the forest with Gale, trying to hunt and only catching a bird. I'm getting dressed in the blue dress that my mother let me use. It's just another day, but I might be chosen, and Prim is scared to death of this, even if her name is only in there once... -

I woke up on my on the dreaded day known as the Reaping. I was terrified, sure, but it was required for me to attend. I sighed. Hopefully, there would not be much of a chance of me getting chosen. There were other males to be chosen, perhaps Gale, even Peeta, the bread boy. Maybe Henry or Greg or Taylor. Anyone but me.
