"I mean, you can't really think that she'd love you... do you?" Cato asks. "She's not dumb you know, she's just more than likely using you to get sponcers, cause everyone will want to sponsor the two love birds."

As much as Hunter didn't want to believe him, the whole thing made sense. Rayna uses Hunter to get sponsors so that she would be better in the games. He wiped the potato off on a napkin. He tried to hide the fact that he was on the verge of tears. "You're lying.."
Thresh shook his head, looking over at Hunter. -
"Rayna would never do that," Rue whispers to Thresh. "Watch her," Cato says. "As soon as the cannon goes off for the Games, she won't even look, or run for you."

Hunter kept replaying the words in his mind, each time making more sense than the last. He blinked back his tears after a few ran down his cheeks. He threw out his food quickly.
Thresh nodded and whispered back, "But Cato had such a way of fabricating the story.." -
Cato smiled in satisfaction as he turned to the others. "I think we got rid of him," he whispers to them.
Rue facepalmed. "This isn't going to turn out good,..." she says. -
Marvel nodded in complete agreement.
Hunter blinked, thinking some more. "B-but Rayna is nice, and a good person!" he spat, "You have to be lying!"
Thresh nodded. -
"It's called pretending, ever heard of it?" Glimmer speaks up.

Hunter bit his cheek. Glimmer had a point. He frowned, incredibly bother by this all. "But.." he was trying to find an argument.

"But?" Glimmer asks. "JUst face it, she doesn't love you."

Hunter took off his gloves, itching his face, which was a nervous thing.
Marvel, to add salt to the wound, added, "That's right, cry to your mother...Oh, wait." Hunter stared.over at him, disgusted. -
Rue wanted to speak up against them, but she was too afraid so she just sat there, looking at her hands.
"I think you should check on your girlfriend now. she's probably dying with out you next to her," Cato says. -
Hunter, finally defeated and broken, went to the elevator with his head low and spirits the same.

Cato turns back to the others and laughs as they recive death glares from other tributes.

Hunter dragged himself in once the elevator opened. He pressed Twelve, feeling as the doors closed and began going up.

"What do you think will happen to them?" Rue asks Thresh.
