"No, no, not like that! Focus on the weak points!" The instructor called as Nora slashed her sword at the moving armoured training dummy. She was getting impatient, and her instructor could tell. "Why?! Can't a fatal strike kill?" She asked, frustrated. The instructor replied, "not if the spot you aim that fatal strike at is armoured." -
Melanie watched as her sister, Nora, trained with the instructor from the other side of the room. She can tell that Nora is frustrated. She looks down at her left hand, tracing over the golden marks on her hand and arm. She was born with them, and she never knew why.

Nora finally managed to slice an arm off of the training dummy. She sighed quietly, barely noticable beads of sweat running down her face. The instructor frowned, "your swordfighting training is done for the day. I have to train your sister now." Nora shrugged, "Okay," she said plainly, sheathing her sword.
Just then, a servant entered the room. She bowed and said, "Their majesties would like to speak to the princesses."
Nora was surprised, even though she tried not to show it. Her parents never summoned them. Instead of asking one of the question swirling around in her head, she simply said "okay." -
Melanie walked up to the servant, wondering why her parents would want to see her and her sister, but she didn't say anything as they walk down the halls
