screAMS TWO YEARS)
The first thing that Arcelio did once Rayson was gone was look down the list of numbers. Of course, he knew Rayson wouldn't put his own number in there, but it was worth checking for. When he didn't see the man's name anywhere on the list, he breathed, trying to collect himself. People were walking past him, ignoring him, and after a few minutes he finally stepped outside to look for the taxi.
Drake got out the jug of milk, setting it on the counter while he got out two glasses. "Then yeah, we are." -
(Two years we can time skip)
Rayson went home, explaining what had happened to Victory, entrusting her with the house and Rosario's care. He also told Allen, telling him to take care of Daniel. Gave him access to his bank account. And, then, he left. In all honesty, Rayson went to Italy. He had no connections there, but he knew the language and it would be easy enough to hide.
Rosario smiled, letting that sink in.
(Time skip two years!) -
(Omfg what do I do what is life)
Arcelio had done as Rayson had asked him. The worst part was seeing his father again for the first time- and the swat team, and an entire wing of the airport shut down to bring him in safely. Being the missing son of a governor could do that. After that, his father sent him to therapists, who tried to treat him for stockholm syndrome (as they'd already assumed Rayson was his kidnapper, or at least the main suspect), PTSD, everything. But all they could get from him was quiet and disgruntled stares. At home, he'd be just normal, like nothing had ever happened. But he would not give therapists who claimed Rayson was a 'bad, bad man' his kindness. By the time two years had passed, nothing was much different. The police had stopped looking for Rayson, because Arcelio wasn't helping them search and they had nowhere else to look. In the end, Arcelio was just patiently waiting for Rayson to come whisk him away to live happily ever after and get married- he did still wear his engangement band, much to his father's dissapproval. -
(Rayson crying every night)
Italy was nice.
It would have been nicer, though, had Arcelio been with him. Rayson found himself sobbing over the pictures on his phone most every night, refusing even casual hook ups, even when he was drunk off his rocker. Archer never showed up, and though he didn't keep in contact with them, he prayed the man didn't bother Rosario and the other's.
Two years passed way too slowly, and he counted every day, marking them off. A day closer to his lover. And then the wait was over, and he was packing to head to the states. Before hand, though, he took out his cell phone, dialing the one he had gave Arcelio so long ago. He prayed he wold pick up. -
(Arcelio is silently upset)
The day it was two years past, Arcelio was a nervous wreck all morning. He didn't come down for breakfast, didn't shower or get dressed. He sat in his room, passing the time looking through youtube and waiting, not so patiently, for some kind of contact from Rayson. Anything. It could have been a carrier pigeon at his window, that would've been fine. When his cell phone started ringing, the man wasted no time in lifting it to his ear. "Hello? Who's this?" He asked, keeping his voice steady while his free hand picked at his pajama pants. -
(Rosario progressing in his studies even though he lost five years, becoming smarted than everyone else and them just being like "Yeah, we hate you")
Rayson almost broke into sobs at the sound of his voice, but, instead, said a weak, "Arcelio," Under his breath, holding the phone close to him, closing his eyes. "I love you." For some reason, that had been the first thing he wanted to tell him. The second was, "I'm coming to get you, and we're going home. Oh, God.. Arcelio." -
(Drake's fond for him increasing and beating people up who mess with Ro)
Arcelio listened, his mouth hanging open, fingers fidgeting. "Is that you, Ray?" He asked, even though it was obvious. "Okay, I'm getting ready," he whispered, and true to his word, set the phone on speaker to leave on his desk while he went rushing around his room shoving his things in a travel bag. -
(Daniel's depression increasing until Allen gets him a baby and they now have a three year old adopted son who has a limmmp)
The man was silent for a moment, and the he repeated the, "I love you." His own bag was ready now, and he zipped it up, standing to leave the little apartment he had stayed in. It would be a short drive to the air port, but he wanted to get there as soon as possible. -
(OUO
babybabybaby)
Arcelio paused his packing, answering. "I love you," he said, and realized it was the first time he'd said it in two years. "Where do I go?" He asked, then, wondering if Rayson was even wanting him to leave the house. "I want to see you as soon as I can. Are you flying in?" -
(And Ellie had a badass biker boyfriend who actually only dated her bc her brother's boyfriend had a Harley and he liked to just look at it and dream)
"Do you remember where exactly- Hm.. Little Angel cafe on Fifth, is it still there?" The elevator wasn't moving fast enough at all. -
(Wow wow he only loves her for her brother's boyfriend's Harley)
"It is, I'll be there, when will you be?" He had no clue where Rayson had gone, and he hadn't even bothered to check the number he was calling from to see if it was out of the country. -
"..Oh." Rayson slowed down a bit, laughing. "It'll be a while? This time tomorrow.. I'm in Italy, Arcelio. And, let me tell you, this place sucks without a lover."
Meanwhile, In Canada, Rosario had just turned seventeen. Victory had been counting the days as well. She wasn't much of a mother to him, having been away for more than five years. -
Arcelio stopped packing, then, staring at the pile of clothes he'd collected. "Oh. Oh," he sighed. "I want to be there. With you."
Daniel had been very gentle with Rosario all along, protecting him from anyone at school who might be bothersome. -
(So, imagine Ray going out to watch some movies with Tate, Charlie, Daniel, and Allen. And Arcelio call him to check in, and Ray is all like "Guys, hush. It's Arcelio." And as soon as he says hi
Charlie: Baby, come back to beeeed.
Tate: *sex noises*
Allen: DANNY, BRING ME ANOTHER BEER!
Daniel: Which p--- video next?)
"Yeah. I wish you could have been. It's an alright place. Look, I gotta go. I'll see you soon, alright? I love you." He was reluctant to hang up, but he had to.
Rosario, although having gotten closer to Drake, found that they hadn't done anymore than touching as far as life in the bedroom, regardless of the fact that he spent most nights over there. But, that was fine by him, and not anywhere near his biggest worry. He was pretty nice looking now- His black hair with a nice cut, brushed away from his eyes most of the time. Copper eyes framed by clunky black glasses, flannel shirts and skinny jeans in a variety of colors, and a love of Starbucks made him popular- Among the girls, anyways. Most of the guys hated him, most of all Drake's friends. -
(Arcelio would either know they were screwing with him or he'd be suspicious about Ray having friends with benefits)
Arcelio was sad to hear the line disconnect. He was already missing Rayson's voice again, and in a few minutes was sitting on his floor crying. He tucked his packed bag under his bed, to hide until the next day.
(*drake not daniel oops
This is great ro always seemed like a hipster
