Nix soon found what he was looking for. A sorceress from the Iron Claw's guild, disguised as a young girl.
His fur stood on end, and he growled lowly, annoyed. She wore a charm around her neck. A travelers charm, it was called. It was a shield against his own powers. Great. -
Kaira entered the demon's forest. She had accepted the job without hesitation, but she had no idea where to find this person. Kaira sighed. She might as well start looking. She walked forward through the forest, hoping to find the person before nightfall.

Nix started back the way he had come, and noticed the girl from the guild. He crouched low in the underbrush, hoping he wouldn't be noticed.

Kaira heard a rustle of leaves. She looked around. She quickly decided that it was just a wild animal. She looked ahead of her and began to move forward again.

Nix stalked after her, curious as to what she'd do.

Kaira walked at her average pace, trying her best not to make to much noise in case there were more wild animals around. She spotted a young girl standing near a tree. Kaira smiled, then she paused. Something didn't feel right. She tried her best to push away her doubts and walked towards the girl.

The girl turned, tears in her eyes and smiled weakly.
"H-hello? Are you from town?" She sniffed.
Nix hissed quietly. -
Kaira frowned slightly. She hadn't spoken or touched the girl, and she wasn't making much noise. So how did she know she was here? Especially since the girl had her back to Kaira.
She quickly put on a kind smile. "Yes, I'm here to bring you back to town. Lots of people are worried about you." -
"Thank you, Miss! It's so dark..And scary out here. I was afraid the demon would come get me. Mommy says the demon eats bad little girls, an I ran away from home so.." She burst into tears again.

Kaira crouched down beside the girl. "It's alright. All that matters is that you're safe. I'm sure your mother is at home right now waiting for your return. Do you really want to keep her waiting?"

"N-no." The girl stuttered.
Nix watched the display cautiously. -
"Then let's get going, shall we?" Kaira stood.

"O-okay." The girl replied, and rubbed her eyes, nodding.

Kaira smiled and turned towards the direction she came from and began walking. "Don't fall behind. The faster we walk, the faster you can see your mother."
Under normal circumstances, Kaira would never let a young girl walk behind her in a forest with wild animals. But she felt something strange with this particular girl. -
"C-can't I hold your hand...Miss...um?" She stuttered, glancing around.
